Total disaster was given pick up time of 8.40 a.m. and whilst eating breakfast we got a message at 7.30 a.m. to say the driver was outside waiting for us so we couldn’t go

  • Great tour! The boat ride...

Great tour! The boat ride was nice and the food was so delicious. They played nice music on the boat and there were 3 different places to swim. The Suluada beach itself wasn't so great, way overcrowded and extremely painful to walk on the sharp rocky beach. Otherwise, good trip.

  • Suluada Island boat excursion, it’s not worth doing.

The boat trip out and in and the lunch were the best parts of the excursion. The island itself was a major disappointment. It’s advertised as the Maldives of Turkey, yet all the beaches were pebble beaches, the colour of the sea is turquoise, but to rough to snorkel and there is no coral. The sea is polluted with plastic and waste from so many boats. Talking of boats, it’s massively overcrowded with both boats and tourists. And to point it’s hard to find a decent place to relax.

We got off at the islands and there is no sand, it is all stones and you sink into them, it is really hard to walk on and if you go you will need sea shoes. The water was full of jellyfish so we got straight out and didn’t swim at all after that. There is hardly any room to swim anyway, only between the boats. The men on the boat were lovely and we can’t fault them. Lunch was okay but you can buy alternative food at the cafe shop on the way there back. The boat is also quite small so it sways a lot when the sea is really choppy, causing a lot of sea sickness. You have 1 hour in one place, 45 minutes at another and then 10 minutes at another one. All very small “beaches” if you can call them that. Getting off the platform of the boat and onto the beach you will end up soaking as you get off into the sea, and some people fell in due to the waves and stones on the ground. So take spare clothes. Would not do again.

It was a nice boat trip and great food, only there is absolutely no place to swim because the boats all "park" on the beach. Then you are finally in the water and then you have to run out very quickly because another boat wants to park. In fact, there were 10 to 15 boats at the same time. Possible solution: drop the people by boat on the beach and then leave the beach, throw the anchor in the water and pick them up when they leave. This is the only way where the guests do get to enjoy themselves. If that point were solved, it would have been the perfect excursion.
