These shoes are perfect for reaching inaccessible areas and walking on the floating vegetation. You'll immerse yourself in the unique raised bog habitat, experiencing a lifetime adventure. This tour skips the boardwalks - you'll walk right on the floating vegetation to reach the heart of the bog. Discover natural spots where locals pick cranberries and enjoy solitude with pristine nature. Disconnect from civilization for a few hours, venturing into secluded areas. Your bog shoes and knowledgeable tour guide will keep you afloat.

The total duration of the tour (around 5 hours) includes the transfer time from Riga and Jūrmala, which is approx. 45 minutes one way from Riga and 15 minutes from Jurmala.

Walking in bog shoes is not difficult but you need to be reasonably fit to do it.

This tour is suitable for individuals reasonably fit, ranging in age from 10 to 65. There is no maximum age limit, provided that you are able to handle a roughly 5-kilometer walk in a swampy area with added difficulty.

You'll need rubber boots or other fully waterproof boots to wear with our bog shoes. We offer a limited number of rubber boots for rent (included in the tour price). If you require a pair, please specify your EU or US shoe size in your booking details so that we can check availability.
