This tour will take you to the oldest and the biggest cathedral in Ukraine,

Kiev Pechersk Lavra, also known as the Kiev Monastery of the Caves.

It is a historic Orthodox Christian monastery which gave its name

to one of the city districts in Kiev.

You will see the most beautiful churches and explore the caves with mummified remains of the Saints from 11th century.

Ukrainian people are very religious and you will have a chance to learn more about Orthodox.

Not recommended for people with claustrophobia to go to the caves.

Visiting the caves will be quite difficult for overweight people and those who have problems with the knees.

My guide, Liudmyla, gave a great tour of the area. It’s extremely pretty and some amazing history! I’d highly recommend visiting.

Both my sister and I were really glad we did this tour! Anastasia was a really good guide and really knowledgeable. She presented the information in a really digestible way. Instead of throwing a bunch of random facts, it was presented thematically so we could see the big picture of what she was describing and how everything fit together. She also asked us what brought us to the tour and was able to add on to/customize the information based on what would be more interesting for us. Overall, this tour was very informative and Anastasia was an excellent tour guide! Would definitely recommend.

Our adorable guide Olga was very knowledgeable and she gave us a great tour in and around Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. I wish I had more time to do the other tours in Kyiv, they all seem interesting!

Cheers to Vlad,Sasha,Luidmyla for organizing the team for getting know Kyiv in best way!I was guided by Sasha to Pechersk Lavra and Podil,both were amazing (like the feeling of Kyiv),but Vlad and Luidmyla were there to assist in all needed.Highest professionalism from dedicated team-future visitors,dont think twice,just let them lead you!✊ And yes-Ill be back!

I've done this tour with Sasha, she was an amazing guide that explain me a lot of things about the tour and also about Kyiv and the surroundings we visit. I totally recommend to take the tour and also get to the bell tower to get an amazing view of Kyiv.

Excellent knowledge of the language, very exciting material, thanks to it we learned many new and interesting things! I think I had the best guide in the world for my tour in Kiev Lavra. Sasha provided me with all sorts of info and curiosities on the place and on Kiev, too. She was super professional, super expert, super kind, super interesting, super everything and I am enthusiastic I had her as a guide! Also thanks to Victoria for sending me such an excellent guide. If I am in Kiev again, I will certainly revert back to Kiev Walking Tours and I definitely recommend Kiev Walking Tours for your excursions in the city! A+++

During my time in Kyiv I did three tours with this company, Stalin's bunker tour with Ann, Kyiv city walking tour with Yuliia and the Pechersk Lavra tour with Sasha. I thoroughly enjoyed all three tours, the guides were not only incredibly friendly and helpful but also extremely knowledgeable about the landmarks. Can highly recommend this company!
