Ivuka Arts Center is an arts center and art gallery located in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda.
The site in Rwanda's capital city Kigali where ten Belgian UN peacekeepers were murdered by the Hutu extremists in order to provoke a withdrawal of the UN forces, which then cleared the way for the full scale of the Rwandan genocide to unfold.

5.00I joined the Kigali Walking Tour on my first day and it was a great decision. The guide was easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and gave real insight into how Kigali works day to day, not just the highlights. Walking through local areas and markets helped me understand the city much better than I would have on my own. Well organized, relaxed pace, and genuinely useful for getting oriented.

5.00I was in Rwanda in August of 2025. This city tour was one of the top 2 things I did while I stayed in Kigali. I was thrilled to have taken the city tour with Gloria! She knows a lot about the history as well as the present day happenings of the area. I had so much fun learning with her. When I return I will be booking another tour with her! You won't go wrong by requesting her when you book!

5.00The visit was very pleasant. The guide knows the history of the country and knows how to stay positive. Walking through the streets of the capital with the guide, for a moment you feel like you are part of the city. Makes you want to come back!

5.00If you’re just getting to Kigali, this is an excellent way to start your journey. I was the only one on the tour, so it felt more impactful as Gloria had time to really dig in to the history and culture- even sharing from her own personal stories. I’d highly recommend spending time doing this activity.
The E-bike Tour is the BEST way to explore Kigali

5.00I took the e-bike tour with Shark and it was such a beautiful experience. The e-bike did most of the work and it was a super fun time. We stopped for some sugarcane juice and rolex snacks. I highly recommend it as a way to see Kigali.

5.00Our guide Gloria was incredible! She told me so much about Kigali and Rwanda. The views were amazing. I enjoyed a visit to the art gallery and a refreshing lemonade from the old town. A shopping street is closed for traffic and good for walking and finding local items as well as sportswear. I highly recommend the tour and look forward to repeating when next in town.
