Experience the breathtaking beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro on a guided Machame Route Day Hike, one of the most scenic trails on the mountain. The adventure begins at Machame Gate and leads through the lush rainforest zone filled with towering trees, vibrant vegetation, and fresh mountain air.
As you hike through this beautiful forest, you may encounter wildlife such as blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, small antelopes, hyrax, and a variety of colorful birds that live in this unique ecosystem.
The hike covers about 11 km (6.8 miles) from Machame Gate to Machame Camp, giving visitors a real Kilimanjaro hiking experience in one day. The tour takes around 7 to 8 hours including hiking time and a short break.
The Machame Route is slightly challenging, making it perfect for travelers who enjoy physical activity and adventure.
All visitors must bring their passport or passport number for registration at the gate. Travelers from Arusha will pay an additional transport fee.

5.00I had an incredible experience with kilita safari really was amazing and best moments ever I had The hiking trip was good the guide was good also the company organised very well this trip we get more chances to see different species like mokey and birds and lot's of vegetation i.e ferns giant trees and moss plants We were with good guides fredy and Stephen they were good and knowledgeable they taught us well lot's of this about mountain including the nature and rainforest zone also they aware about lot's of things We walked for 4 hour's going until we reached the machame hurt from there we got lunch then taken some rest there , around 1:00 wpm we started to go back to machame gate also we used 2 hours till the gate really we enjoyed much much Highly recommended kilita tours and safari is best company in kilimanjaro

5.00I had an amazing experience hiking the mountains kilimanjaro via macrame route with kilita tours and safari and truly exceed my expectations The machame route is absolutely stunning often called the whiskey route and you can immediately see why. The trail takes you through a beautiful rainforest with tall tree misty pathways and fresh air it felt like stepping into another world Our guide was exceptional very knowledgeable and supportive and always making sure we are comfortable all the time and enjoy trail If you looking for more adventurous company kilimanjaro day trip kilita is best

The trail is a bit more challenging compared to Marangu, but it is very rewarding with stunning scenery, fresh air, and a real sense of adventure. Our guide was excellent—very professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the hike. He made sure we were comfortable, kept a good pace, and shared interesting information about Mount Kilimanjaro and its environment.
