  • Great whole-day hike even in summer heat

A great hike with knowledgeable guides along the way. Our guide, Glen, knew the history, the story around the place, the geology behind it a well - it was a real pleasure to be accompanied by such a knowledgeable guide. As for the tour in general, you need to be ready at 4am, and by 9am you start the hike. The hike itself is level 4, a bit challenging but any fit person would be able to do that. The main problem is the heat - in our case it was about 40 C, and there is not much shade along the way, so be prepared for that. Unfortunately, in that weather, the air conditioner in the bus wasn’t working well, so I would generally recommend to make this hike not in summer as we did.

A long day but really worth it. You don't need pool towels. We had excellent guides & learnt loads about the terrain & history of the area.

We did a day tour to Kings Canyon from Uluru with AAT Kings, and it was an unforgettable experience! We departed early in the morning, and our first stop was at Kings Creek Cattle and Camel Station for a delicious breakfast, great start for the day ahead. After breakfast, we set off to Kings Canyon. We opted for the shorter walk along the creek bed, which was absolutely breathtaking. The guide was fantastic—knowledgeable and passionate about the region's flora and fauna. They pointed out various plants and explained their significance, enhancing our appreciation for the stunning landscape around us. We had a refreshing swim in the pool at Kings Canyon Resort, which was the perfect way to cool off after our walk. Following that, we enjoyed a hearty lunch before heading back. The return journey included two more scenic stops, each offering unique views of the surrounding landscape. The combination of stunning scenery, engaging commentary, and the chance to swim made it a perfect day out. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of the Australian Outback!
