Unforgettable trip to the outback. We were extremely lucky to walk along the creek running through the canyon. Spectacular views from the helicopter scenic flight. We had lovely lunch at the Kings valley resort. Our friendly gaurds provided lots of facts about history of the country side and indigenous background. On the way back,we had an opportunity to see the salt lakes and Mount Conner. It was highly enjoyable experience for both of us.

I had an amazing experience doing this Kings Canyon Rim Walk. It's my first ever hike up a mountain. I wasn't sure if I wanted to climb this canyon as I am 70yo, have osteoarthritis and a back operation years ago. With friends' encouragement ( they did it a while ago) and hubby's help, I decided to climb. There was another couple in their 70s who climbed too. As all the reviews said, the first 500 steps is the hardest, but I kept going and I also think the rim walk itself is not that easy too. But, I did it and I am so glad I did. The views are stunning, spectacular and 'out of this world'. It's the most amazing and memorable tour I've had and I have been to many. My only complaint is that we were not given much time to see or enjoy the amazing views. I would have love to spend extra 10 minutes at each of the lookouts. All in all I must said it is the best experience I've had. The weather was great for us as it was low 20s Celsius. I think if it is in the 30s it would be harder . The driver Col and tour guide Chloe, from AAT are amazing.
