  The trip to Klein Island is long and rough, and the island is not exactly "uninhabited." There will be other tour boats there and, actually, quite a lot of people. The beach is fine, but if you are staying in Curaçao, you are likely in a hotel on the beach, which is just as pretty and probably cleaner. If that is not enough to dissuade you, all I can say is DO NOT book with Irie tours, it's a low-level, low-rent company. Starting with the pick-up: a dirty, janky, converted school bus. Nor is this a peaceful morning boat ride; as soon as you pull out of the dock at 8am they turn the music up to unbearable decibels. They are clearly trying to create a party boat/booze cruise atmosphere, and if that's what they're going for, at least say it up front on the website. Worst of all is that they oversell the boat, so a good number of people have to stand, and it's a 90-minute trip. The seating is limited to hard benches, hugely uncomfortable. When you get to the island and see the other boats, it is obvious that Irie has the crappiest one. The two other tour companies that we saw also had much more "real estate" on the island. Irie only has three palapas, one of which they use for a bar. This means if you want to escape the sun, you are squished in under two palapas. Unfortunately, you can't give zero stars, so the one star is for the crew who are kind and work very hard.

  Such a great trip. Smaller boat and not crowded - very laid back. Jay and his crew were exceptional and the food was delicious and plentiful. Klein is beautiful - definitely walk to the back side to collect sea glass and climb up the lighthouse. Overall a fantastic day.

  The price is expensive paid for what it is! First the ride to get there by catamaran is really turbulent....many people have been sick. Facing the island well there is nothing...not even toilet. The beach certainly is beautiful! There's little shadow. Drinking at will is brewing so much you can't drink anything. So is it worth the price and wasting a day I don't think...but the people on the catamaran are exceptional really nice and helpful

  The experience was sensational, especially as a result of the entire Irie crew. From boarding to landing, everything was carefully cared for, and the journey was extremely safe. Regarding food and drink, we were welcomed with a great breakfast, followed by an extremely tasty and full lunch, with various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Everything we asked was met by the crew. The day was also the birthday of a friend who accompanied us, they sang congratulations and even gave her a hymn. Experience note 10.

  I read quite a few reviews and was concerned about all the comments about choppy waters on the trip out. I can honestly say it was not bad compared with my experience whale watching in Newfoundland and Iceland. As for this boat trip the breakfast was a little lacking but the lunch was really good. You need to understand though that it takes 90 minutes to get to the island and 90 minutes back so while you may think you have 6 hours on the island you don't. You will arrive around 10:30 am with lunch at 12:30 and then the return trip at 2:30. The snorkeling is lackluster when compared with other snorkeling opportunities in Curacao but the island is really cool with an abandoned lighthouse and a few shipwrecks to explore. My only complaint was constantly being reminded to put my chair away at 2 pm and line up for the return boat trip to the catamaran. My wife and I promptly did so at 2 pm and then stood there for 35 minutes waiting. Clearly I could have put my chair away at 230 and made it in time
