Siem Reap

Thanks to Tra, we had a wonderful conclusion to our trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. We were supposed to have the day off before departure, but didn't know what to do. Tra offered us a nice day program at a good price: a trip to the Forgotten Pyramid. We were certainly interested in this. Tra knows a lot about the past and present of his country and is open to other ideas and possible perspectives. Should we ever travel to Cambodia again, I hope Tra will be available for us. Cambodia: A beautiful country with friendly people and delicious food (although it can get very hot there).

We spent a few days in Siem Reap and Tra shows us the sites of Angor. He is very kind and knows a lot to tell about the history of the sites. Very impressive. He takes the time and answer the questions, even a little in Dutch! For our last day Tra has told us about the Pyramid in Koh Ker. It is a trip about 1,5 hours from Siem Reap and we go there with Tra and the driver. After Angor Wat you have to see this. It is hidden in the jungle and far from tourist. The trees has eaten the temples! We also climb to the top of the pyramid, with a great view over the jungle. Thank you Tra for showing us your beautiful Cambodja.
