We’re incredibly grateful to our professional and knowledgeable tour guide named Muhta who made every destination more meaningful with her insights. Special thanks as well to our driver—he was not only cool and friendly but also made us feel safe and comfortable the entire journey. From start to finish, everything was well-organized, smooth, and enjoyable. We discovered so much beauty and amazing food in Kazakhstan, and this trip wouldn’t have been the same without Kazakhstan Guided Tours. I’ll definitely be recommending Kazakhstan Guided Tours to my friends and family. And if we ever come back to Kazakhstan, there’s no doubt we’ll choose them again.

We had an outstanding experience touring Kolsai and Kaindy Lakes, as well as staying at Saty Village, all thanks to our incredible guide, Muhta. Muhta’s deep knowledge and passion for the region brought every location to life, from the serene beauty of the lakes to the rich local culture at Saty Village. She was not only an expert storyteller but also a thoughtful and attentive host, ensuring our comfort and safety throughout the trip. Had guided us to some amazing spots that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own, making the adventure even more special. The balance of breathtaking nature, cultural immersion, and Muhta’s warm hospitality made this tour truly unforgettable. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore these stunning Kazakh landscapes and experience authentic village life. Also of note the comfortable ride by the Driver is well appreciated. Although there were technical glitches which are beyond human hands, were well handled addressing the concerns. Wishing all success to the Team, looking forward to many such experiences.

The landscape and nature was absolut stunning and worth the very long hours in a bus. Some notes about the tour: - Food at the yurt needs improving, nether Dinner or breakfast had been great or with lots of options. - with over 8 yurts with 4 beds each one shower for each Gender is simply not enough. Paying 30 USD for the private room and then there is no toilet paper available - The Hike to the lake on Day 2 seems to be closer for a couple of days or weeks. We got told after arrival that the only option is to use the horses (other walked on that trail), price is no 10,000 return per person. Not everyone had enough tenge available for that. One in my party wasn’t able to ride - since there was no communication of the guide beforehand (the hike is closed, everyone fine with horse riding if not that’s option A and B for example), that person had to wait at the parking lot for over 2 hours. - The guide also only did the basics, three sentences about the place. There was no where to find the toilet, you can do this or that here. At some point the guide stopped counting if everyone was on board - also first on a horse up and down. Not checking that everyone got on a horse and on its way- or careing after someone had a fall after the horse got scared. - according to the Operators website it’s 25 max - we had been 27. resulting in cramped and unsafe transport on the coach back in the canyon with people standing on the latter, no space for all around the bin fire or a tight squeeze at the lunch place. - other tour operators were able to drive trough national park entry gates with how it seems pre payment - ours had to pay each time. Also some very intensive and rude discussions with locals driving the shuttles. Biggest issue was the way the operator handled the bus breaking down. (The driver ignoring alarm and the smell of petrol for ages until a other car stopped the car basically because of the smoke) And with that loosing out on the lake visit the first day. We never got asked if anyone needs to be back in Almaty at a certain time to catch a train or flight - the guide simple decided to add the lake to day 2 earlier breakfast, which wasn’t ready. Then guests needing to push the bus as it wasn’t starting (the driver fixed a leak the day before but clearly the bus wasn’t working proper, no replacement bus was sent). The bus wasn’t extremly slow travelling up and down the hills - clearly not enough horse power for that route. We ended back well after 10 pm in Almaty- after a 12.20 lunch break with no mention on a stop so everyone could stock up on snacks

Scenery - 6/10 pretty good, but didn't feel it was super worth the many hours of driving (~10 total for the whole trip), especially for Kolsay lake. Logistics - Organized smoothly and we were generally quite on time. Bonus for not taking us to souvenir shops to get commissions. Accommodation - The private rooms were quite clean, and the food was decent. They even had vegetarian options Tour Guide - Farrukh was the tour guide. He was nice and tried to engage with everyone, however I think there's some lack of experience. His English is quite difficult to understand at times (even for me as an American), and couldn't provide much information about history/geography/culture when asked about those.

I had an amazing time on this tour. Right from pick up to drop everything was well organized and coordinated. Ruslan was our driver and he was great at the wheels and drove with great professionalism on both the days. Farrukh was our guide, he was fun, knowledgeable, friendly and made sure everyone had a great time throughout the trip. Muhtabar was a guide from the other group, she was also friendly and made sure we had fun on the day we stayed by organizing cool games. The food spread was amazing and as a vegetarian I was highly satisfied with the taste and choices. The Yurt experience was amazing and staying inside it was very comfortable. I didn't bring a jacket by choice and Farrukh was very kind and insisted that I wear his jacket. The places we visited are raw, untouched and very beautiful and I highly recommend Kazakhstan Guided Tours to be your travel partner.
