It can be reached by ferry (included in the Oslo pass or in the daily transport pass). The fascinating story of Thor Heyerdahl's Kontiki and the stories surrounding the expeditions to the two poles of Amudsen and Jansen. All national heroes here. And boarding the ships stored here is truly fascinating. Even for children!

I visited only the Fram museum and it was a good choice. 2 boats to climb on board and lots of fascinating archived photos telling story of race to the South Pole. I’m not usually to bothered about museums but I found this one quite fascinating and I was very glad I went
