Not recommended for participants who become easily claustrophobic. There are some very narrow paths inside the salt mine and this may be difficult for some. Once you have begun the tour there is no possibility to shorten your visit or turn back.
There is no minimum age to experience the activity, however, children should be capable of walking unassisted or be carried in baby slings or baby carriers. Baby strollers are not allowed underground.
A moderate amount of walking is involved. The route includes over 800 stairs.
Hand luggage should be of a reasonable size, and larger luggage should be left in the car.
Temperatures in Mine are around 15ºC or 59ºF, it is recommended that you bring a jacket

5.00Krakow Direct were friendly, on time with beautiful clean and stylish transport making our trip to the salt mine easy. Our driver was Yaro (Jaromir) who was helpful and informative and went over and above to ensure we had the best experience. The salt mine is an interesting place to visit with many wonderful sights to see steeped in history of mining. There are numerous displays throughout the mine and unbelievable pieces of art in various places. Definitely a place to put on your must visit list!

5.00What can I say? Absolutely fantastic company so professional . There is no other company I would book with when visiting Krakow. They are the ultimate professionals. Friendly staff . Our driver was Michael and he was fantastic even gave us site seeing information when driving us to the mines and was a very funny guy (a comedian in the making lol ) was lovely ! I booked this tour a few months back over email and even then they were so knowledgeable and professional ! Anyone I speak to who are going to visit Krakow I always tell them to book their tours with Krakow Direct they won’t be disappointed! You are number one service in Krakow ! 5.00For me one of the best sites to visit in Krakow. We believed ourselves to be part of the Fellowship of the Ring in the mines of Moria, Middle Earth. Magnificent place, full of history. Each place, room is magical for the eyes, the imagination. The feeling we feel going down is a little strange at first and then passes very quickly. The ride back up is just an incredible laugh through this little elevator. We had a wonderful time as a family and came away amazed.

5.00I decided to go on a trip to the mine with my wife. At first, I was a bit skeptical because I don't like being in tight and dark places, but it wasn't so bad. Honestly, I would have regretted it a lot if fear had won over curiosity. The worst part is the descent at the very beginning, but it's not as bad as some describe it. Then our eyes were greeted with beautiful chambers and rooms with many sculptures. The guide who led us was brilliant and really knew how to captivate us with his stories. I recommend it to everyone who comes to Krakow, and in our opinion, it's not just worth seeing, but a must-see. As for the organization of the trip, everything went smoothly. Our driver was Jedrek, who spoke English very well and drove the car confidently and safely. You can see that the company that organized this has very high quality standards. It's a pity that we can only give 5 stars, because we would definitely give 6 if that were possible
