The adventure of Safari is often unpredictable so we advise that our guests kindly bring with them the following Safari gear:
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Cool functional attire preferably in dull darker shades to create uniformity with vehicle and not stand out visually to game species. Always remember a good hat as well as sunscreen. Midday temperatures can reach upward of 40 degrees and afternoons can experience thunder showers. All vehicles are equipped with blankets and waterproof ponchos for our guests.
During the winter months we typically experience blue skies with a daily average temperature of 20 - 25 degrees celcius. Early morning and late afternoons are cooler and we recommend warmer attire as this is amplified when travelling on an open safari vehicle. We do provide blankets but long pants, jacket and beanie are recommended.

Our Full Day Ulendo Safari greets the dawn chorus at 05h30am in Summer months and 06h15am in Winter months. We will enter the gates shortly after there opening (05h45 in summer and 06h15 in winter). Our professional guides will introduce you to the splendour of the Kruger National Parks history, heritage and of course wildlife. Between 08h30 to 09h15 we will stop at one of the camps for breakfast (all meals for your own account) before heading out again into the bush. We again stop for lunch at 12h00 (usually at Skukuza) Whilst in the rest camps we will unpack some of the history and iconic landmarks in the camp areas and close vicinity. Part of the magic of Kruger is understanding her history and events that shaped the land. I can honestly say this was the best safari experience I have ever had. Truly unforgettable. I hesitate to call it once in a lifetime only because I am already hoping to go back again and again. Andy is, without question, the best safari guide you could ever hope for. I booked with him again because I had spent a day on safari with him the year before and it had been brilliant. This time, though, I brought three other families to celebrate my birthday, with children ranging from 11 to 16, and I had that little worry you get when you bring friends along. Will it live up to how good I remember it being? Will everyone love it as much as I did? It exceeded every expectation. By a mile. Yes, we saw the Big Five, and Andy was exceptional at tracking and finding them. But what made this safari extraordinary was that it was never just about ticking animals off a list. Andy has an extraordinary gift for making every animal, every moment, deeply engaging and fascinating. I will admit that at the start I thought, “I’m not a bird person.” The kids definitely weren’t either. By the end of the safari, every single child was a birder. And so am I. Andy somehow turns birds into one of the most exciting parts of the experience. There are so many to spot, so many behaviours to notice, that it becomes a thrilling challenge rather than a sideshow. At times it felt genuinely magical. He made a sound and explained it would attract a crocodile from the other side of the river, mimicking a baby hatching. We all laughed. Then the crocodile did exactly what he said it would and swam straight over to investigate. Another time he pointed out a lilac-breasted roller and calmly told us it would fly a figure of eight, dive over the vehicle, and start rolling if he played a sound. Every single thing he predicted happened. There were moments when it felt like being in a Disney film, with animals responding to him as if he were speaking their language. Birds filled the sky, gathered in trees around us, and the children were completely mesmerised. Andy is knowledgeable, warm, funny, and deeply respectful of the wildlife. He does not just show you animals. He invites you into their world. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. It was exceptional in every sense. The kids left wanting to be just like him when they grew up and each of the adults (male and female) left just a little bit in love with him! You won’t have a better experience.

We totally recommend going with the Safaria crew, and especially with Brandon. We had originally booked all our safaris with Andrew, but due to an accident he unfortunately couldn’t join us. We ended up spending the week touring with Brandon — and honestly, it couldn’t have been better. From start to finish, he accommodated all our needs and adapted the program whenever necessary. He shared an incredible amount of knowledge and pointed out things we would have completely missed — including small animals and insects that other guides might not even mention. He is extremely ethical and took the time to teach us the true rules of the bush, which made the experience even more meaningful and respectful of nature + a huge knowledge in birds !! We would definitely book again and with him. Highly recommended experience!

I would like to strongly recommend this company: Safaria! The best thing I did was hire the guide service with them during Safari! Endrew was so polite at all times. He explained biological and genetic issues of the animals, we were able to observe the birds too and get valuable information about him since Endrew is an expert in birds! The best! O melhor!

We had an absolutely magnificent day with Andrew on his vehicle. He is very knowledgable about animals, but also about birds and flora. He answered all our many questions, kept us updated on the days plans, stopped when we needed a break, and was always in control in the situations we encountered. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day. Andrew is not only very professional, he is also a great person with a wonderful sense of humour and he made us all laugh. We highly recommend a safari with Andrew. You won’t be disappointed and you will definitely be back for more!

What an incredible experience, Andrew is super knowledgeable in such a wide range of fields including fauna and flora as well as history and geology. Felt like my brain was going to explode by the end of the day, it was fantastic, the best way to explore the Kruger, even as a South African! Andrew has a wicked sense of humour as a cherry on top, so in addition to the overload of information there was an abundance of laughter as well. Many thanks to Andrew for an unforgettable experience!

My family recently did a full day Safari with Andrew and it could not have been a better day. Andrew is enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable and never seemed to tire of answering our questions about the animals or the park itself. If we had more time, we would have loved to do another day with Andrew as I cannot possibly imagine another guide doing a better job.

We spent a day with Andrew who had come highly recommended and we now know why. His knowledge and his passion for both Kruger National Park and the animals is incredible. Never has the expression “charming the birds from the trees” been so apt. At one point he imitated a bird which actually then came to us, amazing. We had been on a number of safaris in the past but never seen a leopard, this all changed. In the space of two hours we had seen five, I think even Andrew was taken aback by what we witnessed. We had the most fantastic time with Andrew and we will certainly use his services again when we next visit. We can not recommend him highly enough

As a South African who has been blessed to not only travel the world playing and commentating on international cricket and also to spend many days in wonderful places within our country, I can honestly say that I look forward to nothing more every single time than spending time with Andrew Wagner in the Kruger Park. His knowledge of the Park and all its offerings cannot be surpassed. He is the best in the business of taking people out into the Kruger Park. Having invited friends and family to join us on occasions, they constantly remind me of their amazing experiences with Safaria. Nothing is too much trouble. I cannot recommend Andrew enough and will vouch for his service at every opportunity.
