Once at the Kruger Gate travellers change to the unique open-backed safari vehicle and the experienced and accredited nature guide takes guests on an unforgettable and education experience with sightings of the Big Five frequent in this populated area of the park.
In the evening travellers will recharge their energy at our famed accommodation partner before an early start the following morning
At the end of the day we bring travellers safely back to Maputo after a long but truly exhilarating day

Clients are picked up in Maputo and taken in air-conditioned comfort to the Kruger Park gate. Our driver assists travellers with the border processes. Once at the Kruger Gate travellers change to the unique open-backed safari vehicle and the experienced and accredited nature guide takes guests on an unforgettable and education experience with sightings of the Big Five frequent in this populated area of the park. At the end of the day travellers are taken to our accommodation partner in Marloth Park. Marloth Park is separated from Kruger by a subtle fence that keeps the dangerous animals out but you can spend the last light hours wandering around with warthogs, zebras, kudu and other animals. The lodge serves a memorable dinner and you'll have time to rest ready for another adventure.

5.00My friend and I booked this trip, at first individually, and the host was nice enough to advise us to book together for a better price. We canceled one booking and added a person to the second for a few hundred dollars more and then also paid $40 per person in cash to the driver. Rather than about $900 a person we paid about $700 each. We were picked up at our hotel at 4:45am, drove 2.5 hours to the park where we switched vehicles/guides. We stopped for coffee at the Kruger gate and then took two breaks during the rest of the day for bathroom and lunch. We finished up around 3pm and were dropped off at a really cute lodge, where we enjoyed the pool and a multiple course dinner! We were lucky enough to have the tour to ourselves the first day, and then on the second day we were picked up at 515am and followed the same itinerary, leaving the park around 3 and getting back to our Maputo hotel by 630pm. It was a great experience and we saw lots of animals- lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, monkeys and of course impala!

5.00This tour was way beyond expectations! Great driver Alfainho picked us up in our hotel in Maputo and safely bring us there and back. The safari tour itself was really amazing with driver (which name I dont remember) but she was really experienced and knew her animals with every detail possible. The lodge for the night was really great experience on the edge of the national park with many animals directly on your backyard.

Fun Time in Eswatini & Kruger!

5.00We booked Tours Maputo for a combo tour of Eswatini plus 2-day Kruger Safari. It was a great time! Our guide, Alfainho (Alfa), was very kind and made us feel comfortable. We also loved the provided snacks on board the van!! The tour itself was great, with us feeling like we saw everything we wanted to see in both Eswatini and on safari in Kruger. We even saw a leopard for the first time! The Crocodile Lodge in Kruger we stayed in was also amazing, with some of the best food on the trip. My only complaint was that the quote we got for an airport transfer was obscenely expensive ($240 for a 15-minute taxi ride for 12 people as they have a set rate of $20 per person, even though we would all be in the same van). We ended up using a different company for the transfers, but the tour itself was priced competitively. Overall it was a good experience!

5.00We were thoroughly impressed with Tours Maputo and On Safari Africa for this amazing excursion, including the communication, amenities, and the people. Our driver, George, picked us up in Maputo at our apartment in a clean, well-conditioned van, and he was very courteous and considerate. During the drive to and from Kruger, he helped us navigate through the border crossing, which made the process go much smoother. Once we arrived in Kruger, George handed us over to our Kruger tour guide for the next 2-days, Doctor, who was absolutely fantastic!!! Doctor not only had an amazing knowledge of all of the animals and plants within the park, but he was also fun, considerate, and attentive to his guests. He made sure we got to see everything we wanted to, including four of the Big Five (no cheetah sitings on this trip, maybe next time). For anyone lucky enough to have Doctor as their guide, they are in for a treat!!! Our accommodations at the Crocodile Kruger Safari Lodge were first class, with an amazing view, beautiful and comfortable facilities, and delicious dinner. Since we had an early morning departure on day 2, they even packed us a to-go breakfast bag for the morning. We just can say enough good things about this trip. Excellent job by Tours Maputo and On-Safari. For anyone interested in doing this tour, I can highly recommend it.

5.00Everything was a breeze - picked me up at my hotel in Maputo, getting across the border was easy (although that is out of the tour company's hands), got to the park where a knowledgeable guide took me all around, spend the night in a very nice lodge, more great touring around Kruger, then picked up and taken back to the hotel. Due to a miscommunication, the driver taking me back to hotel was a few hours late, but other than that everything was perfect.

5.00We had an amazing time on this tour. We got picked up right on time in a comfortable mini bus, had a smooth border crossing and arrived at the crocodile gate in good time. The wildlife of Kruger is truly spectacular, and we loved watching from the stereotypical high seats in the safari vehicle. Our guide Doctor was knowledgeable and friendly and gave us flexibility with the schedule. We stayed in Marloth park at the elephant lodge and had a lovely room overlooking a river in the park where an elephant stood for most of the evening. We had a terrific meal from the staff here and a good nights rest and enjoyed another fantastic day of safari. On the tour days we got delicious lunches from some of the park restaurants and were overall very happy with the quality of the tour.

5.00We did a 2d eSwatini / 2d Kruger Park trip with Tours Maputo, and it was all absolutely incredible. Communication via email was timely and professional. Payment was also easy using PayPal and cash upon arrival. Our driver/guide Alfainho was on time, professional, an excellent driver, and helped to navigate all our border crossings. In eSwatini, we had a wonderful time at Hlane and Mlilwane. We really enjoyed the opportunity at Mlilwane to hike and bike amongst the animals. Excellent food and accommodations. At Kruger, we had the most amazing guide (Mr. G) who went above and beyond to show us the "Ridiculous Nine." He was so passionate and knowledgeable and showed us an incredible and unforgettable experience. One of my favorite moments was watching an entire pride of lions (and their cubs) walk right in front of our safari vehicle. I highly recommend Tours Maputo and would absolutely tour with them again!
