This was an amazing experience! I would highly recommend this as one of the first things you do when exploring KL. Our guide, Lily, was fantastic. Full of local knowledge (including the best toilet stops), personality, fun and enthusiasm. She definitely knows the best, most interesting eating spots and how to get a table 🙂 Her food knowledge is impressive and the local vendors welcome her with open arms. Every meal comes with a story and a side of history. It was all authentic, clean and totally delicious. Word of warning! Do not be tempted to eat breakfast before you join the tour… 😆

Our guide Lily was absolutely lovely. She took our group of four on a wonderful tour around Chinatown and beyond, giving us snippets of local history along the way. At each stop she took time to explain why the destination had been chosen, and what delicious food we would be eating while we were there. The variety of food far exceeded our expectations and, because of the locations chosen, the quality was very good too. We can highly recommend this tour when you’re visiting KL.

Laily was a fantastic guide. She was knowledgeable not only about the food but also provided context about Malaysia and local features of interest. The tour included Malaysian, Malay-Indian, and Malay-Chinese food and a variety of fruits and desserts. I had a great time! Tour lasted 5 hours so be sure to plan accordingly.

Laily made our family trip incredible - from her knowledge of the food and locations to her personal touch and sharing Malaysian culture, it was an amazing opportunity. We had done a food tour with Laily before and when some of our family came to visit, we HAD to go back and tour with such a friendly face and expert navigator. Several foods (Kaya toast, cendol, and roti) have become favorites for our family.

This was a great experience with Suzie. She is knowledgeable and provided great historical context as well as taking us to some amazing places for great traditional food. Loved the hands on roti making experience. Liked the added bonus of Suzie taking pictures of us along the way! I would highly recommend this tour if you are in KL as you get to eat some of the traditional dishes from various cultures. If you can, go with Suzie. Bring your appetite. We couldn’t eat for the rest of the day!

So I was alone on this food tour but wasn't expecting that this tour would be much better than my first food tour. Hooi E-Wen was really passionate about what she is doing by doing this side gig because she is a traveller as well. And this agency, Secret Food Tour, is so lucky to have her as a tour guide.❤️

The food tour in Kuala Lumpur was truly one of the highlights of my trip. From start to finish, it was a fantastic gastronomical experience that gave us a real taste of Malaysia’s rich food culture. Our guide Suzie was excellent, friendly, welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. She shared fascinating insights about the history and cultural influences behind each dish, which made the experience even more meaningful. What i loved most was the incredible variety of food we were able to try and we never felt rushed at any time. Also, it was a small group. Malaysia is such a multicultural country, and this tour beautifully showcased that by introducing us to delicious dishes from the Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities. Each stop offered something unique and authentic, and every bite was a treat. If you’re visiting Kuala Lumpur and want to truly experience the city through its food, this tour is an absolute must. It was not just a meal—it was a journey through Malaysia’s diverse culinary heritage. Highly recommended for any food lover! Thanks Suzie for your expertise

Had an amazing food tour in Kuala Lumpur with our guide Suzie. She did a fantastic job — not only introducing us to a variety of local dishes, but also sharing many interesting facts about the culture and history of the city, recommend another food spots around KL. The tour itself is very thoughtfully designed. It allows you to take a relaxed walk through Chinatown, stop at authentic local spots, and try food and drinks in places you would probably never discover on your own. And that's really A LOT OF FOOD! In the end we could barely finish everything that was offered. Highly recommended!
