This food tour was our highlight of our time in KL! Our guide - Azreena, was absolutely phenomenal. She took us to hidden gems we’d have never known to find ourselves and taught us about the cultural significance of each dish and even shared recipes with us. Azreena also took us to some other non food sites to explore and bookmark for later. Thank you so much Azreena for such and amazing day!

First, I’d give it a SIX out of 5! The extra point goes to our fabulous guide, Hooi E-Wen. She was simply over the top in her knowledge, style/presentation, and relationship with her group members, a not to miss experience!

The tour was great! We have had lots and I mean LOTS of nice food. There was faaaar to much to be able to even eat half of the servings, even though it was really nice. I did kind of feel bad that so much had to be left on the plate, but it just wasn't humanly possible to eat it all. Most of the food was in terms of spice-level doable for people with little tolerance. Our guide, Suzie, was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure we were introduced properly into the Malay, Chinese and Indian mixed cuisines and culture. We even got a surprise gift in the end. I highly recommend this tour to get yourself familiar with the (food) culture of Kuala Lumpur. I also love that you also had some spots that didn't have food, but we're just nice to be at / look at.

We had an amazing time with our guide Suzie, trying a large number of dishes in places we would never normally have been brave enough to go.

Loved this food tour! There was a ton of food..and I couldn’t eat it all. And I came hungry!! This tour was a great introduction to the diversity of Malaysian food. Our guide, Suzie, was fantastic and was really informative about the history of the Chinatown area and all the different foods. It was a great way to see Chinatown and the Central Market area…I highly recommend this in-depth tour!

This was an amazing experience! I would highly recommend this as one of the first things you do when exploring KL. Our guide, Lily, was fantastic. Full of local knowledge (including the best toilet stops), personality, fun and enthusiasm. She definitely knows the best, most interesting eating spots and how to get a table 🙂 Her food knowledge is impressive and the local vendors welcome her with open arms. Every meal comes with a story and a side of history. It was all authentic, clean and totally delicious. Word of warning! Do not be tempted to eat breakfast before you join the tour… 😆

Our guide Lily was absolutely lovely. She took our group of four on a wonderful tour around Chinatown and beyond, giving us snippets of local history along the way. At each stop she took time to explain why the destination had been chosen, and what delicious food we would be eating while we were there. The variety of food far exceeded our expectations and, because of the locations chosen, the quality was very good too. We can highly recommend this tour when you’re visiting KL.

Laily was a fantastic guide. She was knowledgeable not only about the food but also provided context about Malaysia and local features of interest. The tour included Malaysian, Malay-Indian, and Malay-Chinese food and a variety of fruits and desserts. I had a great time! Tour lasted 5 hours so be sure to plan accordingly.
