What To Expect
Batu Caves
Your tour begins with pickup from your hotel lobby at your chosen time slot 9 am or 2 pm. Relax on the short drive to your first destination which is Batu Caves. These limestone caves are 400 million years old. It is not just about the 272 steps and the Hindu temples at Temple Cave, it is also a Dark Cave where visitors can explore the fascinating cave ecosystem. The world’s tallest Lord Muruga Statue with the height of 42.7m (130 feet high) is located here. Second destination is, Selayang Hot Spring or local name "Kolam Air Panas". It is a very popular place among local. It is believed that the mineral content of the hot spring helps in the healing process. There are four pools in total. Each with a different degree of heat. Three of them are big and one tiny shallow spring with diameter as small as a small well. It is a perfect time filler on a sunny day!
Templer Park
Templer Park is located about 6km from Rawang and 22km from Kuala Lumpur. It was named in honor of Sir Gerald Templer, a British High Commissioner in Malaya. This forest reserve consists of multi-tiered waterfalls. It is also has facilities for such as picnic grounds, fishing spots, parking lots, public toilets and stalls. Wildlife can be spotted such as Park Monkey, hack-cuckoo, crested serpent Eagle, Emerald dove, woodpecker and various kind of toads can be found. If you are nature lover, this is the best place for you to hang out as it is well-known for its greenery scene, swimming pool, waterfall and fresh & cool air. 5.00Raj, my driver, was super flexible, kind and attentive. He let me do my own thing but also provided great insights while we were in transport. He was pleasant and the activities were easy to do independently. I very much enjoyed my half-day with Raj. I recommend wearing comfortable clothes and good footwear because there's quite a bit of walking and some trekking. The waterfalls are beautiful, but you have to do a decent upclimb and some stairs in the jungle. Installations are mostly good. For the Batu Caves, be aware that there are nearly 300 stairs. It is doable, at your own pace. The view is nice and the Temple is certainly beautiful.

5.00Vikram our guide was extremely knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting things about Hindu culture and religion. He took us into the temple and walked around explaining all the different areas and Gods. He was happy to explain things to the children too. At the waterfall he took lots of pictures of us on our phones and kept an eye on all our stuff while we enjoyed the water.

5.00This was a good tour for a half day. We chose the earliest tour on a Monday so none of the stops were crowded. We were able to spend the time we wanted at each stop but it seems their itinerary is slotted just about right. Our guide, Gobi, was great. He arrived at pick up a few minutes early, and talked Malaysian history, culture and economy with us. He entertained all our questions. He also picked up water for us at the second stop. He took pictures, and even escorted us part way up the waterfall.

5.00This trip overall was very good. The hot springs was not as expected, as we didn’t have long so just felt the water. The waterfalls and caves however were worth the visit, the waterfalls were pretty with lots of monkeys around and the caves were amazing with colourful steps.
