Hot springs were closed, only had caves and waterfalls, We climbed over 350 step to get to 3 stage waterfall, extremely hot and pools were full of young locals partying in pools with music and beer….. not what was expected

Our friendly driver/guide Yuvanesh (Nesh) was punctual and communicative. He offered many interesting insights about the tour stops and other cultural and historic information along the way. Highly recommend him. The tour was 4 hours total - about 1hr at Batu Caves + 20min at East Coast Batik shop (substitute for closed hot springs) + 1hr at the The Kanching Eco Forest Park. For what was on offer I think this was enough time. For those walking the Kanching falls, the trail is very steep past the second level of falls - you would need to be pretty fit to get much further in the 1hr time frame. Some locals were throwing fireworks on the trails and although it was during Deepawali (maybe this is uncommon at other times?) fireworks are illegal and totally unacceptable in an eco park.

An excellent experience. The Batu Caves need no introduction - a beautiful and breathtaking site. The Templer Park waterfalls were equally breathtaking. The experience was enhanced by our guide Prabaz, who was extremely friendly and provided excellent conversation while en route between sites showcasing his knowledge and experience of Malaysian life and culture. Thank you, Prabaz!
