What To Expect

Daguan Yuan Park

You will visit Grand View Tower (Daguan Park), which is located at the terminus of Daguan Road and is 6 km from the city center, near Dianchi Lake and facing Taihua Mountain which is on the other side of Dianchi Lake. Completed in 1690 during the Qing Dynasty, the park consists of hills, ponds, pavilions and rockeries in a style similar to that of the gardens of the Yangtze River Delta. Its lovely gardens and buildings have won the name of "West Lake Junior" commanding a panoramic view of Dianchi Lake with the charming Sleeping Beauty Hill in the background.

Yuantong Temple

Next, continue on to Yuantong Temple, the largest temple in Kunming with 1,200 years of history. Explore the temple and admire its ancient architecture as your guide briefs you on the story behind it. Yuantong Temple is one of the grandest and most important Buddhist temple in Yunnan Province. After the temple, take break for lunch at a well-known local restaurant for about an hour.

We had the most memorable family tour with Trippest tour. We felt everything was great, our guide Ms. Daisy and driver truly cared about us which was amazing. They did their best to make the trip remarkable. This journey was something we will cherish for many years to come. We will cherish the comfort and beauty of grand view tower, flower market & history of Yuantong temple we learned from our competent guide and the halal delicious food. It was one of the best trips in our life.

I am just back from China and must say that I had a great time. And Trippest played a big part in my successful trip. I was traveling by myself and as I have never been to China, I decided to book all transfers and a two-day small group tour of Beijing with the same company. Everything worked out perfectly. The drivers were always on time at the airport, hotels and the train station (I went by the bullet train from Beijing to Shanghai) and the cars were very comfortable and well presented. The two-day tour of Beijing with Jerry was just wonderful. He is such a great and enthusiastic guide. His English is really good and his knowledge of Chinese history is profound. He was very polite and engaging and took us to very good restaurants for lunch which is always a bonus. I really had a great time and as a female travelling solo, I always felt safe and well taken care of. Excellent company!
