Usually, I offer this tour in Gion, but if you prefer, we can change the location to Arashiyama Bamboo Forest or Fushimi Inari. You will receive 30 carefully edited photos delivered to you quickly via Google Drive within two days. Whether you choose to wear a kimono or your own clothes, I’ll help you feel relaxed and confident throughout the shoot.

Yasaka Shrine
We start our journey at Yasaka Shrine, a beautiful and famous Shinto shrine located in the lively heart of Gion. Known for its bright red torii gate and rows of glowing lanterns, this shrine creates a magical and traditional atmosphere perfect for photos. The shrine’s main hall and smaller wooden buildings show classic Japanese architecture, offering various backgrounds to suit your style. Here, you can capture the calm and spiritual side of Kyoto, framed by the vibrant colors of the shrine and the peaceful gardens surrounding it. Whether it’s morning light or evening glow, Yasaka Shrine’s unique charm will help make your photos stand out. Hokan-ji Temple
Next, we stroll through quaint, narrow streets lined with traditional wooden houses and small shops to reach Hōkan-ji Temple, widely known as Yasaka Pagoda. This five-story pagoda is one of Kyoto’s most recognizable landmarks and offers a stunning backdrop that beautifully reflects old Japan. The pagoda towers over the surrounding neighborhood, and its red and brown colors contrast beautifully with the natural surroundings. This spot is especially popular for photos because the view combines architecture, history, and everyday Kyoto life. Walking here feels like stepping back in time, giving your photos a warm, authentic feel. It’s a wonderful location to capture traditional Japan with charming street views and local color.

5.00Amare was absolutely amazing. We were 4 adults and were looking for a photoshoot that was a mix of solo portraits, couple portraits (including a pregnancy photoshoot) and group pictures. Amare knew the best places to go that were less crowded, gave us tips on how to pose, and took a ton of pictures. He sent the pictures quite quickly, and we loved each of them. We went to places we had not even considered for the photoshoot, with a mix of temples, nature, and city vibes. I fully recommend Amare for your photoshoot in Kyoto!!!

5.00We had a great photo shoot! our photographer really took his time to get the best shots of every member of our family. (Even through the tropical rain) He has a really good natural eye! He was able to correct our poses and was very mindful that the background was both beautiful and not full of people behind us. He was patient and kind with my kids, he got some great shots of them with spectacular Kyoto landscapes and temples in the background. He even took some fun ones with a cat mask which really helped relax my kids. Highly recommend! His price is reasonable, his work is beautiful and we got the photos in two days. Absolutely worth it.
