La Histórica Winery, founded in 1860, opens its doors to offer a wine tourism experience that invites you to discover one of the most emblematic spaces in Argentine viticulture. Built before the 1861 earthquake, the winery is part of the foundational network of the Maipú department, the cradle of the pioneering wine families of Mendoza and Argentina.
The tours include a visit to its century-old facilities, highlighting the oldest underground cellar in Mendoza and the country, and conclude with guided tastings led by the winery's own winemakers and technical team.

You have to book this tour with Rodrigo! It was incredible from start to finish — from exploring the winery to learning about the winemaking process in such an engaging way. The wine tasting takes place in an underground cave, which adds a really special atmosphere to the whole experience. Rodrigo was fantastic — incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and the process, and he answered all of our (many!) questions with ease. On top of that, he made the whole tour so much fun. The cheese board is also a great addition, especially since there’s plenty of wine to enjoy! If you’re unsure which winery to choose, go with this one — you won’t regret it. It’s about a 30-minute taxi ride from Mendoza, but it’s well worth the trip. Just allow a bit of extra time for travel. Communication before the tour was excellent, and they also have a restaurant that uses fresh, local produce. We didn’t have time to eat there, but it sounds like a great option if you can fit it in — it’s only a few kilometers away.
