La Parguera, a small fishing village in Lajas has reborn in recent years. Due to its geographical location it offers one of the best preserved coral reef systems and mangrove forests in the Caribbean. Various restaurants and bars add to the local attractions. We will drive for about 2.5 hrs (bathroom stops offered), as you enjoy the lush views of the Central area that then changes to a semi-desert landscape. Upon arrival we will stop for appetizers (additional f&b costs not included).
Watch the sunset (depending on the time of the year) as we head out for a 25 minute ride thru the mangrove channels. You will have the opportunity to swim at one of it's cays, before we head out to the area where the bioluminescence happens. Your guide will explain everything you need to know about these microscopic dinoflagelates that give off heat in the form of light when disturbed. Once we reach the bay you will have the opportunity to experience this phenomenon first hand.

It was relaxing and amazing! You will enjoy dinner and shopping in La Parguera You will have two opportunities to get into the water. You will swim amongst some large fish and then experience the glow of the bay. My husband and I are in our late seventies and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the group we were with. It was fun!

Felix was a great guide, was very fun, an excellent driver, and gave very clear instructions. The bus was great, the meal fantastic, the boat clean and safe, and the dinoflagellates amazing. It was well worth the money. My entire family enjoyed themselves!

Our guide George and boat captain Ryan were incredible and key to making this an experience we'll never forget. The small lunch was delicious and we felt very welcome. George's attentiveness made this long day so worth it.

This experience is a MUST DO but especially with this company. Our guide Felix took care of everything from start to finish , had such a fun and upbeat personality and explained about the island on the drive. He was very funny and accommodating. The meal provided in town was tasty. My kids age 5 and 8 did very well although the water is a bit chilly at night just be ready with warm jacket and towels for the boat ride back. I would highly recommend this tour and we are so glad we did it as a family!

Swimming in the bio-bay was fun! So was our stop at the sandbar. Driving over the mountains provided excellent views of geology and geography. Our guide Julien was kind and knowledgeable, and made us all feel safe and welcome.

I never received any communication other than the Viator confirmation email. The tour operator arrived to pick us up 30 mins prior to the time in the confirmation email and then were incredibly rude when we were not at the pick up spot. They then said turn the Uber around and drive 20 minutes in the opposite direction to meet them (we were on the highway in lots of traffic). They then sent me a screenshot of a text they claim then sent but I never received. I’m sure the tour was lovely but I wouldn’t know. And they refused to give me a refund.

An excellent tour from start to finish! Our tour guide/driver Felix was amazing, high energy and helpful from pick up to drop off, he did it all! Swimming in the bay was such a unique experience, highly recommended. Consider bringing something warm to wear on the boat, it's a chilly ride after the sun goes down and after you're already wet.
