We had the tour guide Elias he was phenomenal, flexible and honestly hilarious. Such a grand time at the lagune and the volcano was to die for! They walk you through the history of Masaya volcano with a bit of relaxation, pins coladas and swimming for those so inclined. Great experience if you’re with your friends or your partner or family - very great tour guides who very much will accommodate you, enhance your experience, and work around your schedule. Due to some issues with traffic we did Apoyo Lagoon first relaxed ate steak, swam, saw parrots and kayaked than went to the Masaya volcano at sunset which was spectacular from the truck drive up to the volcano and the natural reserve around where we ate native mangos and joked around and were guided through the indigenous and Spanish history. 10/10 experience and would very much recommend our guide Elias

We loved the tour. Our guide Elijah was excellent. He was very punctual in picking us up at our hotel and took us in a new car in which we were very comfortable. He had a great knowledge of the area as well as any subject you asked. We highly recommend it and would happily repeat it.

The tour guide and driver were delightful and the “Laguna” was a very nice place To swim and kayak, but I had a problem with this tour description;“Apoyo Lagoon, $7 USD that is spendable in food and drinks” as that tour description was misleading. At the entrance desk I was also given a plastic card after my entrance fee of $13 was paid which I learned later was really good for noting. I presented that white plastic card to the restaurant/bartender and ordered my food and two drinks.. The misleading information and that white plastic card gave me the wrong idea and left me with a food and drinks bill for $25. The bill was NOT given to me by the bar or absentee waitress but instead it was given to me by the entrance desk employee. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with this vendor and When I tried to explain this situation to the workers at the front desk they just stared at me and insisted I pay the $25. Ugh…

This was a horrible experience. The tour company started off really responsive but then didn’t inform us that masaya was closed in advance of our tour. That’s the main part of the tour and the whole reason we booked this tour. When our tour guides arrived, they told us that it was closed to see the lava lake and that we could still go but needed to pay the entrance fee... for what purpose - you can’t see the lava lake. We ended up going to lagoona apoyo first instead and it was nothing special. And in the description it highlights that the entrance fee can be used towards food and beverage but that is a lie. You need to pay entrance fee and anything you order. When. We contacted the tour operator after the tour, they were not willing to provide a refund or any kind for the poor experience. What little hospitality!!! Had to contact viator to escalate this issue. Do not recommend this tour company
