It is the largest lagoon in the Cordillera Blanca.
It is surrounded by the most imposing Nevados (with heights greater than 6000 meters above sea level) such as the Artesonraju (Paramount Pictures Mountain, Nevado Huandoy, Piramide, Huascarán, among others.
One of the few lagoons navigable by kayak.
It is located within the Huascarán Biosphere Reserve and Huascarán National Park, thus providing it with a very particular ecosystem.

What To Expect
We will leave towards the north of the city of Huaraz, towards the Callejon de Huaylas, passing through the towns of Carhuaz, Yungay and Caraz, then we will enter the Huascarán National Park. After a few hours in transportation, we will arrive at Laguna Parón, where we will stay for a few hours. The time spent in the lagoon will depend on climatic factors, time of arrival, season, among others. We can carry out several activities: 1) Kayak Ride (service provided by the Local Community / not included) 2) Boat Ride (service provided by the Local Community / not included) 3) Walk to the viewpoint (upper area / 45 minutes) from where we will have fascinating views of the lagoon and the mountains. 4) Enjoy the lagoon and the surroundings. At the bottom of Paron Lagoon you can see pyramid-shaped snow-capped peaks, one of the most famous is the Artesonraju Mountain, which inspired the logo of the film company "Paramount PIctures". We will return to the city of Huaraz.

5.00We love this tour. The agency hired was great and the Guide Paolo was also amazing, explaining and showing the region, the mountains, the cities, always with a lot of proactivity and patience with everyone. It was a quiet walk without running and the place is stunning!!! It is worth seeing!

5.00It is beautiful, the place is very pleasant and you can go up to the viewpoint which requires a little effort; however, it is worth it. It has been a wonderful experience visiting this lagoon, the view is impressive when you get there everything feels very beautiful.
