In the heart of the Alps, we will visit one of the largest natural attractions in Slovenia - Lake Bled. Besides the blue-green water, we will be able to admire also the picturesque architecture of the Bled castle, which is built atop a cliff that rises above the lake. It is possible to reach the unique island in the middle of the lake with the traditional Pletna boat. There, we will climb up the 99 stone-step staircase to the church and ring the wishing bell. Alternatively, you can decide for a leisurely stroll along the lakeshore, enjoying some of the most spectacular views of this picturesque lake.

This tour had everything. Pickup on time, great guide/driver, and all the highlights of Bled (Castle, the boat and island visit, and the cream cake). Our guide David went the extra mile sharing some local stories you’re not going to find in any books. They fit perfectly into the tour, to understand Bled better.

I made a tour to Lake Bled with them. Since my hotel in Ljubljana was located in a pedestrian zone, the meeting point would be nearby. Being a reduced mobility Cover and not familiar with the area, I ended up getting stuck and late, and they left without me, although I kept in touch all the time warning that I was on my way. I know I failed, but I don't see any reason for them to have been so intolerant and rude with me, especially guide David when he spoke to me on the phone. This situation could have been avoided if they had been more empathic and collaborative rather than just demanding punctuality and complaining. Then they accused me of breaking confidence and came to charge me the cost of the tour in an ultimatum tone. After all, my hotel got me a taxi and I went on my own. I spent a baba, but I bet it was better than if I had gone with these guys.

This really was a great tour, with only 6 people in total it was very exclusive and you felt very well looked after. The instructions we received prior to the tour were excellent. Our guide David was delightful, turned up bang on time and kept us well informed whilst driving us the 45 minutes to Bled Castle, we chose the early tour and were glad that we did, when we arrived at the castle there were only a few other people which meant that we got excellent photos before the hoards arrived, it was absolutely packed when we left. The boat trip to the island is optional, although imho is must to do, the boat ride is tranquil and beautiful and again some great photo opportunities. David went ahead and arranged for a boat to be waiting for us, so again, it felt very exclusive. The island itself is stunning and whilst there are a number of steps (or a ramp), to climb, the views are spectacular. Whilst not cheap, a visit to the little church to ring the ‘wishing bell’ was lovely. The traditional cake of the island had to be sampled too! It was then onto the other side of the lake for another stop, a lovely opportunity to see both the castle and the island from another angle. And again, more cake, this time the Bled cream cake, right on the shores of where it was developed, measuring exactly 7cm in height, width and depth, it’s one definitely for sharing. It really was 5 hours well spent. David was so genuinely friendly and shared his knowledge with us, we were looked after from start to finish. Can’t recommend this tour highly enough, thoroughly enjoyable

I am so grateful for the experience. The tour guide was amazing — really punctual and kind. During the tour, he shared many interesting facts about the history of Slovenia and the places we were about to visit. The castle is beautiful, the views are breathtaking, and the landscapes are fantastic. It was definitely worth visiting, and I would highly recommend it to everyone!
