These still allow you to enjoy the best of the lake and get a feel for the fantastic mountain landscape in the heart of the Swiss Alps. We recommend the round-trip journey from Lucerne to Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock and back aboard our elegant catamaran. Just stay on the ship when it docks at the Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock pier, for the immediate return to Lucerne.

Snacks and drinks can be purchased at a vending machine on board.

Excellent views, surroundings and experience. Please note you can alight halfway and take a venicular (steep train) to a summit. There was only one cataremaran per hour whem we went in winter so.ypu have to stay there an hour.

They are punctual. I was 1 min late and was standing on the dock as they pushed off. They would not allow me on. In fairness, I was 1 min late, but they were still on the dock. They drove off. Not cool. I have the time stamp on my video.

This was not a ‘cruise’ but more a transport to and from another town nearby - no local information - just a silent ride to and back to your pickup point. All of this is included in a Swiss pass, which I had and so paid for something that I didn’t need to pay for. The marketing is misleading on this. Save yourself the dollars.

The catamaran dock was easy to find. Boarding and departing the catamaran was quick and well organised. The hour went fast as there was so much to look at, even if it was overcast and the mountains were hidden. Very smooth experience.

We booked a 1-hour catamaran cruise and we got a glorified tugboat. Workers said the catamaran was in for repairs. We weren't notified or given the option to cancel. We were disappointed that we didn't cruise on a catamaran, however the "tugboat" was sufficient to cruise on Lake Lucerne and take in all of the Lucerne beauty!

The cruise is lovely but it definitely wasn’t a catamaran and was just the standard ferry that travels back and forward across the lake. Feel the advertising was quite misleading.
