What To Expect
Wellness Tusnad
Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation either in Baile Tusnad or Miercurea Ciuc and transfer you to the Land of Volcanoes.
Saint Anna Lake
In one of the twin craters of the Csomád Mountain was formed Central Europe`s only volcanic lake, the charming Saint Anne Lake. Its surface is about 949-950 m above sea level and it is part of the Mohos Nature Reserve. Its charm for tourists has the roots into the legends surrounding this place, the beautiful landscape, the healing properties and into the fact that it is also a great place to get in touch with nature and relax. The locals believe that if you have a bath in the water the fairy of the lake will protect you for a year.

5.00During our Romanian road trip we had the pleasure to stop in Tusnad and spent a marvellous day with our guide, Istvan. His passion and love of nature and the area are obvious from the first moment you meet him. He did such a great job in not only explaining the particularities of the volcanic landscape but also making us feel at ease, relaxed and curious to discover more. If you're in the area, I would HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Carpathian escapes and checking out their extensive offer of activities. We wish we had more time to spend there!

5.00We had a lovely time in August visiting volcano land on e-bikes. Istvan picked us up from our hotel and brought us back there safely. He is very knowledgeable about the region`s history and geophysics, but he is also a very nice person and very pleasant to hang out with. The scenery is spectacular and I we were very impressed both by the lake and by the tinov. It was a wonderful experience and we hope to come back soon. We recommend the region and this tour in particular to everyone that asked
