  This was an unbelievable experience! Miro picked us up at our VRBO and packed all of our vlogging gear for a full day trip that took us deep into the Icelandic Highlands via the F Roads (not for normal rental cars). Miro is very knowledgeable and personable. He's a great guide and fabulous photographer! We saw other worldly Iceland and have pictures and video as lifelong memories.   Just returned from an absolutely spectacular 3-day private tour with Icelandic Roamers and cannot stop thinking and talking about it! Every detail about this tour was crafted to exceed our expectations and expose us to the many wonders of this incredible country. Robert was our outstanding guide, skillfully driving our 4X4 into the highlands and around the south coast, crossing glacial rivers, and arriving at breathtaking locations with few/no other visitors - all while teaching us about Iceland's geography, culture and language. He was kind, patient, adventurous and we had so much fun (and laughter) traveling with him! Miro & his team at Icelandic Roamers excelled at customer service and communication. As a bonus, they are all professional photographers which allowed us to enjoy & take in each moment, and not worry if we missed a photo opportunity (and the photos were fabulous!).   Where should I start…? August 2025 was my second visit to Iceland and as an experienced off roader and hiker I was looking for someone who will take me to the see the off the beaten tracks of Iceland, away from the regular tourist attractions (which I have already seen in my first visit in 2021) and to the places only a true Icelandic with a worthy 4x4 vehicle can take you. And Miro was my guy. We clicked already from the first call already in January (yes, 8 month before the actual trip, if you want to secure the best accommodations in Iceland), he immediately and fully understood what I was looking for and the trip plan I had received was spot on – from the choice of the luxury hotels, to the inland off road tracks, the hiking trails and the glacier off road drive, Miro planned a 14 day around Iceland trip that few are experiencing and everything was exactly as I was aiming for. And when come August and we finally met and hit the road – the reality superseded the expectations. By a mile. First the choice of accommodations – which were brilliant, both location and quality wise. Second - the offroad trips were scenic and breathtaking, to the point I felt as if this is my first visit to Iceland even when we drove to places I have already visited in the past. Miro took us via routes and tracks none too few, avoiding the herds of tourist, sometimes being the only vehicle on the tracks for miles. From a full day drive to the magnificent Kerlingarfoll off roading on glacier for the first time ever (and I am not new to off roading - from Uganda and Tanzania to Northern Spain and Northern Greece to the Tian Shane mountain passes in Kyrgyzstan), to Landmannalaugar, to Thorsmork, off roading on the black sand beaches near Bakki to an unforgettable drive to Askja finishing the day at Myvatn crossing the whole north east of Iceland by off road, and if this was not enough – at 20:30 we went to look for the hidden hot springs in a canyon (better described as a narrow crack 5 meter deep in a lava filed) outside Myavtn for a night swim I will never forget. Third, and best of all – Miro is a gifted and enthusiastic photographer. His passion for nature, landscape and off roading is only matched by his skillful eye and his talent to freeze moments in time. The set of photos and movies of our Iceland trip which Miro took for us, either with his camera or by his drone, are not of this world. 6 weeks after coming back from this trip, I am still finding myself going over them again and again. And last but not least – Miro is an amazing person, he is amicable, funny, helpful, curious and truly attentive and cares for his guest. For every request we had – small or large, Miro jumped “to the rescue” and problem solved in no time. I truly recommends Miro and his company Icelandic Roamers as your go to guy for planning and executing a once in a lifetime trip to Iceland. So much so, that we already asked Miro to organize for us a winter snow off roading chasing the Norther Lights trip to Iceland and we are going to meet Miro again in January for our next Icelandic adventure. • Unforgettable Highlands Adventure—Ask for Michal!

  Our two-week Iceland trip was incredible, but the single day we spent in the Highlands with Icelandic Roamers stands out as the highlight of the whole vacation. We chose the Highlands tour because we could tackle the Golden Circle on our own, but wanted an expert for the rugged interior. From the moment Michal picked us up, we knew we made the right call. He blended deep local knowledge—geology, folklore, the best hot-spring —with genuine warmth and perfect pacing for our family. As an amateur photographer-videographer, I was thrilled that Michal is also a skilled shooter. He scouted epic backdrops, game me tips for my drone, and helped capture stunning photos and clips for my travel vlog—all while keeping the day relaxed and fun for the kids. The edits he shared afterwards are professional-quality keepsakes we’ll treasure forever. Beyond the camera work, Michal constantly went the extra mile: avoiding crowds, adjusting stops to the ever-changing weather, and sharing hidden gems we’d never have found alone. By the time he dropped us off, it felt like saying goodbye to a friend. Bottom line: if you want a seamless, awe-inspiring Highlands experience—with memories beautifully documented—book Icelandic Roamers and request Michal. • Amazing guided experience! Read this

  I will do my best to give Icelandic Roamers (Michal and Miro) the best possible review. However, I am not sure what I write here will capture how amazing this trip truly was. This was a bonding trip for my son (15) and me (father, 50). I wanted to experience something for the first time together and something so unique it would be unforgettable. What was amazing about the trip? It is one thing to be somewhere to see something amazing, to feel small and to be in awe of nature. However, the feeling is magnified when you have a guide who enhances the experience. Confident, kind, attentive, entertaining, funny! knowledgeable, punctual, flexible and a truly earnest amazing open human. Eager to answer questions. What he didn't know he researched and answered. We were together for 4 full days. Michal has seen these amazing things many times before, but he never made it feel that way. He was as excited as my son and I were to see these amazing places. Thank you so much Michal. But what made the trip for me as a father was the genuine connection he made with my son and how my son grew in confidence as Michal encouraged him to "experience", try the hot dog, try the sauce... the chocolate, the hike.... I will always be forever grateful for the pictures and the video Michal willing and diligently took to ensure our special moments were captured. When I asked my son what was his favorite part it was standing on the truck in a black sand (moon like area)... who encouraged him? Michal. Michal also found our connection point, music and being real. In between the beauty there is some drive time. We traded new songs, updated play lists talk about life and what is important to us. I could go on an on. I truly hope this post conveys my deepest gratitude. There are many other guides and I am sure they are excellent. If you choose Michal and Miro (Icelandic Roamers) you will be sure to get a special team, who will make every effort to make your experience unforgettable. Nothing says more than conviction and I will be back in Iceland this time with my entire family (daughter and wife) and we will be booking with Icelandic Roamers. Thank you so much Michal!!!!!!!!   We absolutely loved this tour! Our guide Michal was fabulous, he went out of his way to find places off the tourist trail and we found ourselves most of the time on our own in the wonder of Icelands back country. The photos were an added special bonus - we had no idea we would get so many and how good they would be!   From start to finish, Miro created the best, most memorable experience I’ve ever had with a tour! He designed an itinerary that included everything I wanted and more in my private Extended South Coast and Landmannalaugar. A part of me was a bit nervous about spending 2 full days with a guide but Miro makes you feel comfortable right from the start - super friendly, kind, thoughtful and respectful guide. He answered every question prior to booking, pays attention to your preferences and requests, and because of that, while I was on the tour, I felt like I really could just fully be present on my vacation! He takes care of everything - planning, photos, great music, and positive vibes. He’s very knowledgable, an excellent and safe driver, a talented photographer, and his passion and love for Iceland and adventuring truly shows. I was blown away at every place! I especially loved that we got to see puffins, the glacial lagoon, ride an Icelandic horse on a black sand beach, see incredible waterfalls and views, crater lakes, beautiful landscapes, and a gorgeous hike in Landmannalaugar. The Toyota Defender was super comfy to ride in all day even off roading and through river crossings! He shared more photos, videos and epic drone shots than I expected! I can’t wait to create a photo album with all the fantastic images! Thank you SO much for the best trip ever, Miro!!
