What To Expect
Eagle Square
Standing at 12 meters high (39.3 feet), this commanding statue is inspired by Langkawi's namesake sea eagle. Poised to take flight, the statue is the focal point of the waterfront Dataran Lang, a star-shaped plaza located on Kuah Bay. It's one of the first sights to greet visitors arriving via ferry or cruise ship. Dataran Lang is popular for photos with the larger-than-life Brahminy kite, or to simply watch boats sail in and out of the bay. Opposite the square, across a small footbridge, is the Jetty Point Complex, Langkawi's main ferry terminal and a mid-sized mall with duty-free shopping opportunities and fast food chains.
Durian Perangin Waterfall
This lush, jungle-clad picnic grounds centers around a series of cascading waterfalls and natural rock pools. Durian Perangin waterfall consists of 14 shallow tiers, accessible via a series of footpaths and bridges. Those adventurous enough to climb the 200-meter long steep staircase to the highest level are met with a gushing vertical stream and a large flat rock surface to sit on and bask in the sun. Take a dip in the cooling pool and make your way over to stand underneath the falls' thundering current to feel the revitalizing water wash over your body.

4.00We did some fun things but had a guide that .. we could not hear … didn’t provide much information… several times we returned from our activity and ge was no where to be found.. think he was smoking and chatting with his buddies

4.00The guide is a basically a driver. She was pleasant but did not really provide details about each location. We would have preferred to skip the Eagle Square and to have spent more time at the cable cars and suspension bridge.
Very poor experience with Jara Holidays. I recommend that Viator remove them from their offerings.

1.00Be very careful when you book with this operator. Be certain that the guide speaks English (if that’s what you request). Our guide didn’t speak or understand anything we asked. She never contacted us prior to tour and never sent us her name or What’s App #. Learned nothing and it was a waste of both our time and money. Even though we got to the places on itinerary, nothing was explained and we didn’t get what we were promised. When we complained to the Tour Operator directly he told me our 3 person group was snobby! Have no idea what he meant by that. Nothing was explained and 2 times we couldn’t find our guide. At one location, we missed what we were supposed to see because she didn’t explain that we needed to stay on cable car to get to 2nd destination. Thus, we missed it. She told us nothing about Malaysia which is where we were. Very sad and extremely poor customer service from local tour operator. We would be happy to pay for entry tickets to the places we went but as far as a guide is concerned, we had none and had really been looking forward to this expensive private tour. We travel all over the world and have always been pleased with Viator. Hopefully, we will hear from them soon regarding our total dissatisfaction.

3.00Nice excursion in general. The Durlan Perangin Falls stop was null and void and should be removed from this package (small, almost nothing to see, mediocre swimming almost zero) in addition as our driver said it was not included (I had to show proof). Eagle square was okay. The highlight of the day was the 2hr boat tour in the mangroves (monkeys etc), you have to plan 2 Ringgit p.p. cash to visit the bat cave (not included) which is worth it! The cable car with skybridge is very good thanks to the premium skip the line ticket. Our driver Cheedah was not a guide but drove us from place to place. It was difficult to find, does not speak much and not loud, you had to ask questions about the schedule, the time allocated, meeting place. His organization deserves improvement. She was especially very nice, quite clean and comfortable vehicle. We take into account that we were in a foreign country with different customs and customs.

5.00This excursion was worth every dollar , our driver and guide Shan was a true professional and showed us all the great locations and attractions to visit . We loved Langkawi , truly a beautiful island . Highly recommend this experience for cruise ship passengers , it’s a way better experience that is private and personal .

5.00Our expectations were surpassed on this private tour. Besides the iconic giant eagle statue we were treated to a Buddhist temple, waterfalls, bat caves, a boat ride through a national park, and our highlight, the "Skybridge." Fortunately, our weather was perfect. I don't think we would have enjoyed it on a rainy day. Our driver/guide spoke almost no English, but she was very friendly and polite and pointed us in the right directions with instructions on where and when to meet back up with her after exploring each stop.
