Langtang valley trek has been one of the most rewarding short treks available anywhere in Nepal. The east-west running valley is the site of some spectacular alpine scenery as well as being a great place to meet unique people. A minimum of one week is required but trekkers are well advised to add a few extra days for acclimatization and for side trips in the valley. Along our journey, you will walk through the Langtang National Park. Although wildlife is never easy to spot in a forest setting, here you get the chance to see some interesting animals and birds. Among those found in the park are monkeys, musk deer, Pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful Danphe. The Langtang valley trek can be started either from Dhunche or from Syapru Besi.

It is shorter walk today, but adequate for acclimatizing. There are some interesting things to explore, especially the famous cheese factory – don’t forget to try some locally produced cheese as fresh as it could get. This beautiful valley is on the lap of the Langtang Lirung. This is the spot where we can explore the valley and climbs several small peaks (hillocks).

I can't put into words what i liked the most. Me and my parents had a great time in Nepal. The landscape and nature was breathtaking, the people were so kind and helpful. We had a funny and reliable guide, Sunil, and two admirable porters. The trekking was wonderful and in addition there were still well-kept lovely accommodations and delicious food. We were in the beginning few days in Kathmandu. After that we drove out of the city. We did the Langtang and Gosaikunda trek and at the end my parents back in Kathmandu had a wonderful final evening organized by the Ace agency. We were in Nepal for two weeks and I would come back anytime. It is such a beautiful, peaceful and breathtaking country with so much to discover. A tip that I would apply today: Pack only what is necessary and even that you can reduce again. I would also eat more nepalese food, because i miss that a lot besides the people and the beautiful landscape;)

Great trek with a great profession company. From my initial enquires back in February to the actual trek in December Ace the Himalaya were perfect. All emails answered promptly and any questions I had were always answered fully. I booked the above with Ace and planned it with my own time scale putting in a few extra days just incase (sickness, altitude problems). This worked well and in the end we didn't need the extra days, but our guide instead of just pushing on gave us a few shorter days trekking later in the trek to ensure we had our full time on the trek. Our guide and porter, Ganesh and Gantcher, were superb. This is our 5th Nepal trek and you can get a real range of guides but Ganesh was just right. Always there when he was needed, ensuring we were safe, had the best lodges to stay in, enough food/water etc. Even when I went down with a cold and sinus infection he had medication to help. Also lending his phone to my partner so she could phone home, a real top guide and gentleman. I would have no issues recommending Ace the Himalaya and will certainly be using them again.
