Lantau is known as Hong Kong’s green lung, like stepping back in time 50 years when you visit. Most of the stunning island is untouched and can only be accessed by public transport. We will navigate you and your guests seamlessly through the highlights in this full day private tour. Highlights include:
- skip the line access and the 24-minute ride of the Ngong Ping cable-car (upgrade for private Crystal+ cabin)
- Po Lin Monastery and Big Buddha
- Tai O fishing village by foot and by boat
- a boat ride for the pink dolphins and a look at Hong Kong-Macau- Zhuhai tunnel / bridge (upgrade for private boat)

You may cancel, in writing, up to 7 days before the tour commencement date and time and your payment will be refunded in full via your original payment method.
If the tour in cancelled within 3-6 days of the tour, 75% of your tour fee will be refunded.
If the tour is cancelled within 24-48 hours of the tour start time, 50% of your tour fee will be refunded.
If the tour is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or you do not show up for the tour, no refund will be issued.
NB: Travel insurance is highly recommended

5.00The "touring" part of Lantau is probably pretty standard, but Amy just knew how to handle everything! She made sure our Ngong Ping cable car wasn't plastered with stickers, which would have impeded the view. At the Big Buddha, since my husband couldn't really negotiate the 289 steps, she arranged transport to the top with the monks (but she ran up the steps)! In Tai O, we had a delightful lunch off the beaten track, even washing our dishes in hot water before eating...old style! Amy was an absolute delight and our group would wholeheartedly recommend planning any excursion with her. We were picked up in Macau...spent the day in Lantau and dropped off in Hong Kong which gave us an extra day in HK. She arranged it seamlessly so we never had to touch or think about our luggage.

5.00Our first time visiting beautiful Hong Kong! Spent a day with Stephen from Hong Kong Greeters — such a terrific choice! A private car whisked us from downtown Kowloon to a Ngong Ping glass bottom cable car, arriving at the iconic Big Buda temple complex. Stephen had a wonderful way of weaving history, culture and humor on our visit. We moved on to the fishing village of Tai O, where our guide’s family were from, sharing local stories, food and culture. A ‘not to be missed’ experience! Many thanks!

5.00I had a great time on the Lantau Island. The transport was comfortable and on time, making the day stress-free. Our English-speaking guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting stories about the island. We visited beautiful spots like the Big Buddha and Tai O village, and the pace felt just right. I’d recommend this tour to anyone wanting a personal and easy way to explore Lantau!

5.00Stephen was our tour guide - we couldn't get better guide than him - as his parents are from small village on Lantau island, he knows everything - and I mean, everything!!! We've had cable car to Big Buddha - great ride over fantastic nature! Stephen helped us choose local wafels for breakfast, told us everything about Big Buddha and traditions, helped us make a wish like locals... as mu friend had leg injury, he provided electric car to the Buddha, so we didn't climbe two hundred something stairs😁 We visited beautiful small village where we tried some fish balls on the street (best ever!), had amazing lunch in local restaurant, tried some local drink... ae took boat ride as well, and after that we had beautiful walk through streets of this small village... We started our tour half an hour late (our fault), but Stephen stayed with us even longer - no pressure to finish it at all!!! There is no better guide to show you beautiful Lantau Island than someone who is local! Stephen even made small movie of our tour - amazing!!!

5.00We were in Hong Kong for only 2 full days and wanted to maximize our time. While searching for a customized tour for our family of 8, we couldn't find anyone who would truly tailor our tour—until we found Amy. Amy was exceptional in helping us customize our tour between Big Buddha/Lantau Island and Hong Kong Island. Knowing we couldn't cover both islands in an 8-hour span, Amy arranged a mini van with a permit for Lantau Island and the remaining time in Hong Kong. Agnes, our tour guide, provided an enlightening summary of Hong Kong, and Mr. Chen was our mini van driver. Amy, thank you for being so patient with us and the daily back-and-forth emails.
