The 2.5 hours class surely will be a very interesting experience for everyone - families, adults, teens, and kids. Hoi an lantern making class is also the best activity to do during rainy days. Our Lanterns almost were made of silk and bamboo and unlimited in shapes such as lotus, diamond, garlic, etc. You will not only pick up new skills but also have lots of fun while learning.

What To Expect
In the beginning, we will take a chance to taste the Vietnam traditional tea and enjoy the various flavor of tea during the lantern-making lesson. We provide the bamboo bars that form the basis of your creation, you do the rest. Your tutor will show you, from the first to last step, how to make your own Hoi An lantern to take home and show your friends. We offer many colors of silk so that you can choose which one of your favorites. The other secret is that these lanterns are easy to fold down and put in a corner of bag. Take an original souvenir home with after the tour end. Once completed, these lanterns are easy to fold, carry, or put in your luggage. Take an original, enjoyable, hand-made souvenir home from your visit to Hoi An.

Exactly what it says: in a typical 2 hour session you learn to make your own lantern (there is a choice of about 6 shapes) with help - as needed - from a great team of fun, patient people. Apart from shape, there is a very, very large choice of fabrics - so you will be making your own "one off". Finished lanterns can be folded flat for packing into your suitcase to take home. A really unique souvenir. Had a ball! Highly recommend!

5.00A really fun experience, made more enjoyable by the enthusiasm of the family running the business. We made a lantern from scratch and were shown every process to making the lantern and we left with two beautiful collapsible lanterns which we customised. If you are in Hoi An this is a must do experience.
This was even better than expected. The staff are fun and they make sure everyone is successful, no matter your skill.

5.00This class was so fun to do, and the teachers were so fun and kind. I think we were all ready to leave with awful looking lanterns because it was just for fun, but they really took time with each of us to make sure we left with a piece we were proud of. Was so glad to have done the class, especially since it wasn't something on our list before coming but it definitely ended up being one of the highlights.

5.00Really good experience! The people working there were very nice and helped us build the lanterns. There were endless supply of refreshments (ice tea) and a little candy snack. Very cosy atmosphere. A fun way to take home a lantern from Hoi An while learning a new skill. It was also not that hard technically, so I'd imagine anyone could take the class with success.

5.00My girlfriend and I spent the morning (about 2 hours) making lanterns with our helpful teacher Lin! Very personal service and attentive instruction (I am not very crafts-y so appreciated the help!). We each got to choose the colour we wanted and look forward to putting them up at home!
