A husky‑driven sled ride is an unrivaled adventure! You will have the opportunity to try driving a husky sled in the true Klondike spirit. The whole trip will cover approximately 10 km. You will take breaks during the trip to change drivers and take pictures. Finally, you will return to the husky farm to enjoy drinks and snacks by an open fire in an exotic, traditional Lappish wooden dwelling.

What To Expect
Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort
A husky-drawn sled ride is an unrivaled adventure! You get an opportunity to try driving a husky sled in the true Klondike spirit. After 10km drive of 1 hour, the professional husky instructors will welcome you. After driving and safety instructions, you will get to meet the eager huskies. You will get to drive a traditional wooden dog-pulled sled while another customer sits in the sled, tucked up warm on reindeer hide. A dog sled ride is an enjoyable, action-packed experience. The whole trip will cover approximately 10 km. Breaks will be taken during the trip to change drivers and take pictures. Finally, return to the husky farm to enjoy drinks and snacks by an open fire in an exotic, traditional Lappish wooden dwelling. To finish the excursion, you'll meet the farm’s husky puppies, say goodbye to your sled dogs and head back to Saariselkä and your accommodation.

5.00We had a fabulous time on the [H2] Husky Safari at the Northern Lights Village. Our guide was so informative and helpful and enthusiastic about his dogs that we couldn't help but be drawn along with his passion. We had a good long session of driving a dog sled with a group of other dog teams, over the hills and through various parts of the woods - all the time guided by a lead team and a pair of snowmobiles to shepherd us on the route. It was a fabulous time with lovely enthusiastic (and strong) dogs, and it gave us a new found respect for the people who do this for a living.

5.00Fun is an understatement to describe the Husky Safari we did at the Northern Lights Village Saariselka - this sledding adventure was thrilling! This is a MUST-NOT-MISS activity in Saariselka. The staff at the Northern Lights Village gave us a briefing on how to control the sled after we changed into our protective overalls, gloves and snow boots (all provided by the company). The enthusiastic bark of the huskies added to the excitement of the adventure. After the safari, along winding paths in the midst of a breathtaking snow-covered landscape, we enjoyed a drink of hot berry juice by an open fire and enjoyed an informative conversation with the head musher, learning fascinating insights about these incredible animals. The staff who attended to us - Jackie, Anatole and Emily - were excellent! They made us feel relaxed, safe, and kept an eye on us on their snowmobiles all throughout the safari. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I highly recommend this activity - and make sure you book it with Northern Lights Village Saariselka - you can be sure you’re in safe hands. Enjoy the ride!!!

5.00We went on a New Year's morning dog sled trek. From the start, it was excellent. Marek knows his business & loves his animals. The sledding was great, but a -24 F and still dark make sure you are well dressed! This is a MUST! Thanks Marek.

5.00It was a great experience to be on the road with the animals. The dogs were in top condition and were treated very appreciatively and lovingly. The whole team of Husky & Co in Saariselkä is perfectly organized and very friendly. The theme equipment was great and we were well advised.

5.00We thought the staff was fantastic. Specifically we dropped into the shop and needed help finding an outfitting company for our vacation and Indre was able to provide a short ride to help us! We later realized we would be on that very husky tour with them the next day and again everything went great. Highly recommend this company for going way beyond to help us and provide one of our favorite adventures in Finland-riding and driving the husky sled!!

5.00Great organisation and nice to share with Finnish staff. Most important for us : The dogs looked happy and well cared. The meal was really good (soup and sandwich, especially the cinnamon and cardamom bun !) We were lucky to visited the puppies .
