  George was a delight. It was as much an interesting herbology safari as anything! Stopping by the road to pick and smell local herbs at various altitudes as we climbed to the valley and beyond. Fantastic lunch with an amazing view. Pottery stop was also fun. Just hoping we can get them home without breaking them!   George was a faultless guide/driver for the day - very personable and knowledgeable. There were four of us on the tour, and we got to know our fellow travellers. Stunning viewpoints of the coast and the Lasithi Plateau, enjoyable stops in Krasi and at a family-run food and ceramic business with tastings, lots of the promised windmills dotted around the plateau, and the lunch (starters, mains, dessert, water, wine and raki) was really tasty in a lovely location. Couldn’t be better.

  Our guide, story teller, driver Joseph was very knowledgeable. We went places that other tours did not dare to go. Lunch was more than we ever expected. Loved the small group. The SUV can only hold 5, there were 4 in our group.

  Our driver and guide was Joseph.He was amazing- funny, entertaining and very informative.He picked us up by the Heraklion cruise port in super clean SUV and drove trough the charming villages of Lasithi Plateau.On our tour we had a pottery lesson , tasted local vine and olive oil and later a delicious meal in local restaurant by the Cave of Zeus.We had a great time and highly recommend Joseph and Real Safari Tours.

  We had a wonderful trip yesterday! As no one else had booked the excursion, we were lucky enough to have a private tour with our guide. The view in the mountains was just gorgeous and a welcome change from the city visits. And the guide was fantastic!! He made us feel completely at ease the whole time and was very responsive to our interests. We would definitely recommend the trip!

  Joseph was an excellent guide thought out the hole day, from taking up to a mountain to a wonderful church and views, informing us all with local history, to then a wonderful wine tasting, with the lady talking to us about how they make the wines to us trying them, just lovely, then onto lunch at a beautiful beach. Joseph talked to us all day he was very passionate when he was talking about crete and made our day so enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour, 100%.

  Best thing we did in Crete! And best way to see the most in a day. Joseph is a native Cretian and knows a lot about the island. And the food was SO good. All around, very fun and great day!

  We had the best time with Josif on the excursion. He really made us feel as family. We met his uncle and grandmother and learned about the Crecian culture. He made sure we were well taken care of each step of the way. I highly recommend taking this tour.

  Nice small private group with Josef as an excellent guide. We went high up in the mountains and saw some really authentic villages and way of life. Pottery experience was great and time to explore a museum or cave. Lunch was amazing. Overall, a great value day out for adults and kids.

  We did a lot of stuff during the day and it was very fun. In my opinion my three highlights of the day were: - the driver Jannis, with his relaxed attitude, made the ride very interesting and joyful. - Even if there were many steps, the ZEUS CAVE was definitely worth visiting. - The nature, the landscape and the small villages during the ride were charming and quite impressive. Overall, the price/quality relationship of the activity is very reasonable and I totally recommend it if you would like to explore the island
