5.00Our experience visiting the Mutianyu Great Wall and the Summer Palace with our English-speaking driver Jim was absolutely exceptional. If you’re planning a short visit to Beijing and want a smooth, well-organized experience, I cannot recommend Linda and her colleagues enough. I’m an over planner and found I could easily loosen the reigns and let Linda and Jim help. One of the biggest highlights was the direct pickup at the train station early morning I. After arriving in Beijing, Jim was already waiting for us, which made the transition from travel to sightseeing completely effortless. For travelers with a tight schedule (48hrs), this level of coordination is invaluable. Another thoughtful touch was that Jim stayed with our luggage the entire time while we explored. Since we were on a short trip between cities, this made everything so much easier and allowed us to enjoy the sites without worrying about our luggage. The day itself was fantastic. Visiting the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall was breathtaking—less crowded, Jim even became our photographer with all the hidden camera angles on the incredibly scenic wall, and left us explore at our own pace. Afterward, Jim recommended a delicious local lunch option, which ended up being one of the culinary highlights of our entire trip. It was authentic, flavorful, and a wonderful introduction to regional cuisine. Despite our very tight schedule, Jim kept everything running perfectly on time while still making the day feel relaxed and enjoyable. His professionalism, excellent communication, and knowledge made the experience feel personalized rather than rushed. If you’re looking for a reliable, friendly, and highly professional driver/guide in Beijing, Jim is the perfect choice. This tour was one of the most seamless travel days we’ve ever had and coming so far from our home it’s nice to feel your vacation is so important to them also—truly five-star service from start to finish.
