Enjoy an exciting 2 hour surf lesson at the famous Coolangatta Beach. Choose one of Australia's favorite surf schools and enjoy 2-hours spent with a local expert teaching people to surf since 1987. You'll be provided with long sleeve rash shirts in summer and wetsuits in winter with soft beginner surfboards and 2 hours of instruction and fun.

What To Expect
Meet at our Learn To Surf truck in the car park near the Greenmount Surf Club to change into a long sleeved rash shirt or wetsuit and collect your surf board. Walk on to the beach for some safety and basic instruction information. Begin catching some small waves in waist deep water and then return to the beach for more detailed instruction about how to stand up on your surf board. The remainder of the time will be spent in the water with the instructor helping everyone to stand up. Return to the trailer to drop off the equipment and then take a shower and change.

5.00It was a really fun experience and the instructor (blake) was probably the best part of it. he was calm and friendly with us. we had so much fun speaking to him outside the surfing. and he somehow managed to teach us how to surf in just one lesson!

4.00I had a fantastic lesson with two other girls, young ones really get the hang of it quickly. Instructor was awesome, he clearly demonstrated, explained and assisted as needed. Perfect location at Coolangatta, weather cleared during our lesson & water temperature and conditions were good. Highly recommended! Fantastic value for a lesson including board & wetsuit.

5.00Amazing surf lesson with Johnny! He is a great instructor, I was able to stand up every single time with his instruction and it was my first time ever surfing! Coolangatta beach is a great beach to learn at as the waves are not too big. Very friendly person who made it easy and comfortable to try something new!

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed my surfing lesson. My instructor from Go Ride A Wave sorry! I forgot his name was an extremely knowledgeable local young man who knew the beaches very well and taught me a lot about surfing safety. It was my first time EVER trying to surf, and I would highly recommend him because of his kindness and patience. A word of advice to first-timers and folks who are a bit out of shape like me: Get a good night's sleep and have a decent breakfast before attempting so much exercise. lol I was so pooped out that I had to quit my lesson before I actually got a chance to stand up on my board. :- But the next time I visit the Gold Coast I will gladly book this excursion again, especially with this company. God bless the folks at Go Ride A Wave! It was truly one of the highlights of my visit to the Gold Coast.
