I signed my husband and 4 teens up for this tour and it did not disappoint. We spent 15 days in Australia and my kids will say that this was the best thing we did while we were there. Their instructor, Jaden, was the BEST. He was so friendly and helpful the entire time. The group was small--5 from my family and one other couple. First Jaden spent a little time teaching on the beach, then he stayed out in the water while everyone was trying to surf. He didn't have a board, but he would watch, give pointers, and also physically helped if people needed it. He paid attention to everyone out there. Not only would he give pointers, but he would cheer them on if they caught a wave or if they improved on something. He was always giving immediate feedback. After about an hour on the water, Jaden brought the group back onto the beach to give them more feedback--he talked about mistakes he saw and he gave more advice on balance. Then they all returned to the water. And my kids all picked it up and had improved greatly by the end of the lesson. They looked so good out there! My husband had a harder time, but he still got up on the board a few times by the end, too!! These lessons are such a great value. You get the foam board, a wetsuit, and an instructor for 2 hours. Honestly, it was the best money I spent the entire time. No other tour or pass we purchased in Australia was this inexpensive. Honestly, if we go back to Australia, we will definitely use Go Ride a Wave again. And we would probably do their multi-day surf package because the kids could not get enough of it. They still keep talking about this day! They went surfing in Manly later and they said the waves in Lorne were still way better. I know that is all weather-dependent, but they really look back fondly on Lorne. Thank you, Jaden, for a wonderful day and for teaching my family how to surf!!

We booked a private lesson as we are a couple with a 6 year old. Go Ride A Wave were so accommodating, helping me over the phone to book an appropriate option online! Our South African instructor Mike was professional but very fun. He was amazing with the little one, ensuring everyone was safe while giving very helpful pointers throughout! This was an all time favourite experience and we would highly recommend. Thank you Mike!!

Fantastic lesson and the kids had a ball. The instructor was super supportive and had all the kids (aged 10 - 16) standing up, riding the waves. Great experience.

My 11 yr old had a lesson with Izzy. She loved the lesson and I noticed that Izzy took time to support her and help her to catch some waves. It was a wonderful experience and Izzy was a wonderful teacher. Well worth the cost and will do it again.

Yea was an epic surf lesson. Matt our instructor was very informative and professional, also funny. His partner (we forget her name) was also very knowledgeable and helpful. I stood up on the first wave I caught. Highly recommend :)

Awesome surfing lessons on well maintained gears at beautiful Lorne. Matt was awesome with our 9 years old today and generally super helpful (thanks so much!) as was our other instructor. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent session with Joel. He was very chilled and gave great suggestions. Just the right amount of instruction to refine my surfing. Managed to catch some bigger waves thanks to Joel’s encouragement. Would highly recommend.
