We'll head to the historic city of León, founded in 1610. This city served as Nicaragua's capital several times after gaining independence from Spain in 1821, alternating with Granada until Managua was declared the permanent capital.
Our adventure begins with a visit to the stunning Basílica Catedral de la Asunción, the largest cathedral in Central America and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll then explore the Ortiz-Gurdián Art Gallery, which boasts an impressive collection of works by renowned Nicaraguan artists, as well as international masters like Picasso, Chagall, and Miró, & Latin American legends such as Diego Rivera, Rufino Tamayo, Fernando Botero, and Roberto Matta.
Next, we'll embark on the Flor de Caña tour, a captivating journey through six interactive stations where you'll learn about the production and history of one of the world's most awarded rums. Guided throughout, this 1.5-hour tour includes a tasting of Flor de Caña 18 & a complimentary drink of Flor de Caña 12.
