What To Expect

Lesedi Cultural Village

Pick up at residence. Once we arrive you can enjoy some souvenir shopping at Lesedi Cultural Village. Introduction video at the Amphitheatre. Guided cultural tour in the village. Cultural dancing. Boma buffet lunch (drinks at your own cost) Tour ends drop off at residence.

What a lovely day we spent at this village. We learned how to play the drums, learned much of the history of 5 historical tribes, including Zulu. Had a fantastic buffet lunch with traditional food. Just a great day!!!

Our driver and tour guide Tibone was knowledgeable, reliable. It’s my understanding he does other tours and we would love to have him do another tour for use. Most importantly he was honest and trustworthy! Thank you for making our experience so memorable!

Lesedi Cultural Village was definitely worth a trip and can easily be recommended. However, what impressed us the most was our guide from Tsalanang Tours. He was incredibly knowledgeable and reflective, and gave good, thoughtful answers to all our questions about everything from Soweto and Mandela, to various ethnic groups in Africa and South Africa's challenges today. He was otherwise very helpful and pleasant, gave good tips about places to eat and things to experience in Johannesburg and elsewhere. We are incredibly satisfied, and can strongly recommend Tsalanang Tours.

We really enjoyed the Lesedi Cultural Village. The shows were really good, the food was excellent, everything was great. Our tour guide Thabang/Tsalanang Tours was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, intelligent, friendly and just a really really great guide!

I had an incredible experience with Tsalanangt Tours hosted by Thabang Molefe. Our visit to Lesedi Cultural Village was unforgettable, and Thabang's ability to customize the trip, including a day around Johannesburg, was exceptional. Exploring the Apartheid Museum and taking a township tour in Soweto, with insights into Mandela's house and the rich history of South Africa, made our journey both enlightening and enriching.
