Li River
Li River, one of China's most famous scenic areas, was listed as one of the world's top ten watery wonders by America NationalGeographic Ma－gazine.Originating in Mao'er Mountain in Xing'an county northeast of Guilin, the Li River winds its way southeast for about 437 km, passing th－rough Guilin, Yangshuo, Pingle, Zhaoping and finally meets Xi River in Wulin. It boasts the largest and most beau－tiful scenic area in China and attracts thousands of visitors each year. The 83-km-long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo is like a masterpiece. The landscape is decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and is lined with bamboo. A poem says: "The river is a gr－een silk ribbon, and the hills are jade hair-pins". 5.00We were perfectly picked up from our hotel and taken to the Li River for a beautiful cruise. After that, our guide Jack took us on a wonderful tour of several iconic spots in Guilin. The whole experience was truly extraordinary. Jack is an absolute star — he speaks perfect English, has a great sense of humor, is extremely punctual, knowledgeable, and made the day really enjoyable. He has all the qualities of an outstanding guide. Highly recommended! Thank you, Jack!

5.00We purchased the tour the day before at the hotel where we were staying in Guilin and included the Li River cruise to Yangshuo (self-guided city tour) and agreed return to Guilin by taxi, much cheaper and more flexible solution than the package purchased online. The ferry was simple but very cute and the scenery is fabulous and picturesque...some Anime enthusiasts might recognize the stylized landscapes where the characters of the Dragon Ball saga move (nothing strange because this character, Goku, is inspired by Monkey, the protagonist of the famous and epic Chinese novel "The Journey to the West" by Wu Cheng'En). The cruise flows slowly and pleasantly lulled by the chete waters of the Li River. He deserves absolutely!

5.00Obviously weather dependent. On a clear, sunny day, this trip is stunning. The views are fabulous. Spent the whole trip (excluding lunch !) standing up top taking in every second. All the boats are pretty similiar so don't worry too much about which one you choose. The boat guides tell you of all the importants points of interest.

5.00We only booked the trip one day before. Reply was swift. Driver Peter Yang waited for us in the hotel lobby. He saw my husband had trouble walking as he fell the day before. He immediately arranged a wheelchair. Looked after him the whole trip. Can’t ask for more care and efficiency. Highly recommended. Please thank Peter for everything.

5.00We were collected from our hotel by Jacky who had excellent English and driven (about an hour) to the Li River siding. We quickly found our boat amongst the dozens lined up and proceeded on our four-hour cruise on a 3 star boat. There was no English at all - the life jackets were stowed under your seat. The boat was at capacity but very clean and the lunch box meal was good. The end of trip arrival area was a scramble and we had trouble finding where our meet destination was (Starbucks) as our Aussie phone nav failed us. A quick sms to Charles soon had us on the right road to meet our guide. Jacky took us home via a very pretty bridge then we opted to pay for the 35 (Chinese money) freeway back to Guilin which took an hour. We arrived back at the hotel about 4-5 pm.

5.00Wonderful cruise. The boat was very clean and the seats in vip very comfortable with exclusive access to the front deck. Staff did not speak any English and I didn’t understand why I was offered to order food when I understood lunch was included. It was and I didn’t need to order the fish but it was delicious if expensive.

5.00Charles helped arrange a wonderful cruise on the Li River all the way from Guilin to Yangshou. The scenery was amazing and the boat itself was very nice and comfortable. The cruise lasted around 4 hours, and the scenery was breathtaking. I would recommend using Charles to anyone coming to visit Guilin and Yangshou. It is a fantastic and memorable trip to behold!
