This walking photo tour was designed by a professional photographer that has a deep knowledge about Lisbon. It also happens that Miguel was born in Lisbon and lives in Lisbon.
You can expect a rewarding experience. We will explore Lisbon as old time friends, looking for good and sometimes unexpected moments. We will chat about the local culture, about the local history and about photography. We can discuss f-stops, between a view description or looking at a map. We may actually improve your image composition as well.
This photo tour has the huge advantage of being private.
This also allows Miguel to follow your preferred subjects or to optimise the use of your photo equipment.
Actually, this photo tour should be for everybody, because everybody has a camera! Think about it.
It doesn't matter if you have a DSLR or a mobile phone, because the fun will be the same.

Mouraria is a fascinating old district in Lisbon. It is one of the best preserved areas, almost forgotten by most visitors. We will show you some very interesting spots, full of photography potential and very rich in culture. LISBON PHOTO will help you see the world from a different perspective.

5.00Spending your day with Miquel at Lisbon photo is great whether you are really into photography or just an IPhone photographer. Miquel has a vast knowledge of photography and the local culture and he delivers it to you in a very informative and entertaining way. He also knows some great “local” restaurants.

5.00My wife Mary and I spent two half days with Miguel from Lisbon Photo, and it was simply amazing — without a doubt one of the highlights of our 7-week European tour. I had done the same experience with Miguel seven years ago, so I already knew how good it would be. But this time, it exceeded all expectations. Miguel has a wonderful way of making photography come alive — not just through technical tips, but through his deep love and knowledge of Lisbon. It’s so much more than a photography workshop; it’s like a private guided tour of the city, filled with hidden corners, beautiful light, and fascinating local insights. What made this time extra special was watching my wife’s transformation. She had no real interest in photography before, but under Miguel’s patient, friendly, and encouraging guidance, she’s now completely hooked — and taking fantastic photos! 5.00I had a great time with Miguel learning about street photography in Lisbon. Miguel is very knowledgeable about photography and Lisbon. We went down alleys and through areas I would never have known about had it not been for Miguel. I wish I had time to do Porto too, but will add to my list for next time. Miguel, thank you!

5.00Honestly, this tour exceeded all expectations. It was engaging, surprising, pacy and yet still and even a bit reverent. Miguel clearly loves his city and his insights and depth of local history layered on a pretty intense photography class. We actually learned techniques and ways to observe and to distill singular elements from a scene, leaving with fantastic photos. Bonus: three teens, one joining at the tail end and two adults with wildly different personalities snd every one of us was engaged and energetic throughout.

5.00We booked a morning tour with Miguel. We've been to Lisbon three times, and have taken a tour with Miguel on each visit. We met at Rossio, and within 5 minutes we were snaking through tiny, picturesque walkways. Miguel just loves showing people his city, and how to photograph it. Regardless of your level of interest in photography, Miguel's energy gets everyone exciting about snapping photos. I do photography as a hobby, so it was fun to see Miguel get my friend using a smartphone, excited about snapping pics. It was a wonderful tour. I can't imagine visiting Lisbon without taking a tour with Miguel.

5.00Our guide was great at personalizing our tour. My travel partner is no spring chicken and so our guide was constantly checking in to adjust the intensity of the walking and gave chances to take breaks. We also are extreme beginners when it comes to photography experience and the guide easily "dumbed down" the technical aspects of photography for us which we really appreciated. We saw great spots in Lisbon and took some great photos!

5.00Booked a full day tour of Lisbon with Miguel, it was a beautiful day. Gave me some things to think about like making simplicity out of chaos, as well as some others points to consider when making photos. Showed some tips when using the mobile phone, besides the typical vacation photos. Dont hesitate to contact him and you will have a history lesson as well.
