Excellent experience at this special place that supports unwed mothers. After feeding the llamas and alpacas we had a demonstration of how wool is cleaned and dyed. Super interesting and well worth the visit!

Our guide met us with ponchos and hats to protect us from the light rain. Then we met our alpacas! Mine had a name that started with a V but my sister’s didn’t. We came up with the perfect name for her. They kept it! After our meditative walk through the Andes we went to a home where Hilda started the Andean Colors collective. I really connected with her story. We had a private teaching of the textiles and then bought some items from their store. We had the best peach tea! Aside from the light rain and mud it was a lovely experience. They even helped us get roundtrip transportation!

So impressed! 10 out of 10 recommend. This was an epic, authentic experience and perfect for my 11, 18 and 21 year old. The activity guides were well-prepared, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We were able to take a long one-hour walk with the llamas up the mountainside and down through the local community. At the end of the walk we were able to feed the llamas and alpacas. The last part of our experience was learning about the authentic textiles and coloring process, while also engaging with the pet-like baby goats, Billy and Linda. Cannot say enough good things about this experience, start to finish.
