What To Expect
This one-of-a-kind tour combines one of the most popular activities in Rovaniemi with professional photography! During your visit, you’ll get to meet the friendly huskies and hear stories about life with the pack — from training routines to everyday life at the kennel. You’ll then enjoy 3 km sled ride as a passenger, guided by a professional musher, through peaceful winter landscapes. Before and after the tour you will have time to interact with the dogs, pet them, take photos and relax by the fire with a warm drink and cookies as you take in the atmosphere of the camp and enjoy the surrounding nature. We have carefully chosen to work with a local musher family for whom the dogs are truly part of the family. Their small kennel is run ethically, with deep respect for both the animals and the surrounding nature. A collection of edited, high quality photographs will be delivered to you a few days after the tour. This is the only husky farm visit and sled ride experience in Rovaniemi from which you will receive professional, edited pictures as a memory to highlight your amazing journey here in Lapland.

5.00We had the best time ever during this husky tour and would highly recommend it, especially for anyone who loves animals and wants a more personal experience in Rovaniemi. As a total animal lover, I was on a mission to find something that felt genuine, ethical and not just another cookie-cutter tourist trap. There are tons of options out there, but I’m sooo glad I picked this one!!! From the second we arrived at the location, you could just feel how much love and care goes into every single dog. It was lovely to hear the owners speak about the huskies with such love and pride, almost like they were talking about their own children. These huskies aren't just working dogs, they’re family, and the whole operation was ran with an ethical approach. The owners shared stories and we learned a lot about the dogs, their training, and life at the home. Any questions we had, they were happy to answer. As we did the tour end of March (it was also the warmest March in over 40 years in Rovaniemi) some of the snow had started melting. This wasn’t an issue as they accommodated us by switching the sled to a buggy-style vehicle with wheels that the huskies could easily pull. The ride itself was beautiful, but the best part was the time before and after meeting the huskies, petting their soft fur, getting those slobbery kisses, watching them get fed, and just hanging out around the fire. It made the whole thing so special. If I could, I would’ve stayed there all day!!! Our photographer Leevi was also fantastic and made sure everyone got great photos with the dogs they connected with most. He was so patient and talented and there was no overcrowding or rushing. A few days after the tour, the edited high-quality photos showed up and they were beautiful! We got pick-up/drop-off included and drinks by the fire, but it was the warmth of the owners, photographer and pups that made it unforgettable. If you’re in Rovaniemi and want an experience that’ll stick with you forever, book this. 10/10, no question!!!

5.00I had an amazing experience on this husky experience and sled ride tour. What I appreciated the most was the authenticity of the place—it felt genuine and not overly touristy. The animals were clearly very well cared for and looked healthy and happy, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s evident that the owners truly love what they do. They were also incredibly kind and thorough, taking the time to answer all of our questions and share interesting insights. Neva was very pleasant and contributed to making the whole experience relaxed and fun.

5.00Had a great time! On the tour with 6 other people. Ryan collected us and was very friendly and informative about the activity and different questions I had about Finland. The dogs were all very friendly and I could pet them and take pictures with them. They were well looked after and so excited to pull the sleigh. The couple who owned them were also very informative. Unfortunately the snow was melted a bit so we coudn't go on the river but did a different loop twice over. The teepee was very cosy with the boiled juice and biscuits. Would do again.

3.00The place is super beautiful typical! But the ride itself is very short: Only 15 minutes 😵💫 the rest of the time we pet the dogs, drink a hot drink and wait for the other participants who return from the walk. So this activity is overpriced!!!

5.00Despite being skeptical about this activity at first, I had to completely change my mind: it was an incredible, exciting and formative experience. The breeders of the Alaskan huskies pulling the sled are two fantastic people, prepared and in love with their dogs, who are treated with great care and respect. Dogs are extremely affectionate and sociable, and before leaving for the ride you can pet and cuddle. I learned so much about the life of Alaskan huskies and their character. While waiting for their turn, hot juice and biscuits are offered inside a traditional kota. I add that our guide / escort Sanni was very kind and friendly, and took a lot of photos. Super recommended!

5.00Such a good experience! This tour took us to a family run business where you get to pat the dogs and learn all about their lives, before going on the sled. Very cool to see how much the dogs love running and they're very well looked after. Our tour guide Essi was also so lovely, not only to the customers of the business, but when dropping us back to our hotel there was another tourist lost in the streets out of town and she was so kind and picked the lady up to drop her in a safer place. I highly recommend this experience if you are coming to Rovaniemi!

5.00This was a very authentic experience, a married couple with their own dogs who take part in sled races. A simple forest setting with fire pit and teepee for hot drinks/cookies, 8 of us on the trip, they take you two at a time on just one sled down through the forest and out onto a frozen river, absolutely spectacular! Whilst others were sledding we were able to pet the dogs and talk to the lady about their training, racing, heritage etc, she was very friendly and informative. The company kitted us out in full snow clothing beforehand which was much needed, all in all a magical experience.

5.00An unforgettable experience, in the Lapland nature. Thanks to this package we were able to get up close and personal with the life of the huskies and their breeders, we tasted the traditional glögg in a typical Lapland tent. Our Villa guide was friendly, professional and ultra helpful for all our requests, as well as the guys in charge of the dog sled breeding center. A really fabulous experience!
