  Tetsu was a great host and took great pride in talking about the best parts of Osaka (even though he's from Tokyo originally!) and showing you a non-tourist experience. We were the only gaijin in any place he took us to and we truly enjoyed eating local, simple, and CHEAP food as compared to the westernized ideals of Japanese cuisine and street food.

  This was an amazing tour! You get to see multiple bars that tourists normally do not get to see, enjoy drinks with locals, and learn so much about Japanese culture & drinking culture from the amazing guide. We also enjoyed some really good bar food, including the famous bar fried chicken, and had a great time snacking around Namba! This is not a “cookie cutter” experience, he truly customizes the tour to your liking in a very small group setting (2-3 people). For example, my wife has food allergies & he made a big effort to help us discuss this with the bartender/cook. At the last bar we went to, the entire bar became our friends! It really made our night.

  We had the best time on this tour with Tetsu! He showed us the local bars and drinks we would never have come across! He also filled us in on some Osaka history which was also very interesting. I really recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay in Osaka!!!

  I had an incredible time on the Local Izakaya and Bar Hopping Tour in Namba, and Tetsu was absolutely amazing! From the start, Tetsu was not only kind and professional, but he also personalized the experience to suit my preferences. I specifically requested to avoid the typical tourist spots, and Tetsu took me to some truly authentic, local spots that I would never have found on my own. The tour was a great mix of delicious food and great drinks at traditional Japanese restaurants and bars. What really stood out was Tetsu's ability to bridge the language gap and introduce me to local restaurant and bar owners. It was an amazing opportunity to learn about Osaka’s vibrant nightlife culture and see firsthand how respect and hospitality are woven into everyday interactions. If you’re looking for a unique, off-the-beaten-path experience away from the crowds of typical tourist areas, I highly recommend this tour. Just a heads-up—if a place is overcrowded, Tetsu will quickly adapt and take you to another spot, ensuring the experience remains enjoyable. Probably not recommended if you have more than two people. Best at solo. A fantastic way to experience the heart of Osaka’s nightlife—definitely a must-do for those seeking an authentic adventure.
