Many of us have childhood memories of being taken to London and shown the Christmas lights. For many seeing the Christmas lights in London was one of the most magical moments at Christmas This tour is your chance to step into the magic of Christmas in London and see not only London’s best Christmas light displays but also some of London’s most famous landmarks such as Trafalgar Square, Carnaby Street, Covent Garden.
Along the way, there will also be time to visit some of London’s most famous shops, including Fortnum & Mason, the oldest bookstore in London, and some of the street markets and stalls that pop up throughout London at this festive time of year. There will also be time to stop and enjoy a hot drink or two, as it’s always a tradition to stop either for a mulled wine or hot chocolate somewhere along the way.

Covent Garden
Our first destination Covent Garden market is famous for street performers, boutique market stalls, and Christmas decorations. While exploring Covent Garden market you have time to take photos, buy Christmas gifts, and listen to street performers. During this time your guide will also explain the history of Covent Garden, from its origins as land belonging to the Church, to the modern vibrant marketplace you see today.
As we walk along the Strand, your guide will point out some of the many historical buildings that line this road. These buildings include the world-famous Savoy hotel, a favourite place with celebrities such as Frank Sinatra and JK Rowling, and Coutts Bank, the oldest surviving bank in London, where only the wealthiest and most prestigious of clients can afford to keep their money. Along the way, you will also have the chance to stop and take photographs of the amazing Christmas lights that hang above the main road. If you'd like to stop for the perfect photo of your group, feel free to ask your guide, who will happily recommend the best place to stop and will take a photo of you all.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the London Christmas Lights tour with Tom! The evening was not only fun but also a great blend of festive magic and a touch of history. The lights were breathtaking, and Tom’s knowledge of London’s landmarks added an enriching layer to the experience. What made the tour extra special was Tom’s ability to speak Italian so well – such a delightful and unexpected bonus! It made everything feel more personal and inclusive for us. His enthusiasm and passion for the city were evident throughout, and he ensured that everyone had a fantastic time. If you’re looking for a unique and festive way to experience London during the holiday season, this tour is a must. Thank you, Tom, for a truly magical evening!

This was a really good, interesting tour. It was a christmas event for my team and while we all had some knowledge of London, the info Michael shared was new to us all. The tour was well paced with plenty of stops for interesting facts about both the lights and the places and comfort breaks. Michael was brilliant, sharing his knowledge and making it fun. The booking and meeting information was easy and would thoroughly recommend it.

We were treated to a wonderful evening tour combining a bit of history with all of the beautiful Christmas lights in London. Our tour guide Tom, couldn’t have been better. He was extremely knowledgeable, very much fun to be with, and showed us multiple beautiful streets festooned with lights. We also visited some stores with beautiful interior Christmas decorations. He even recommended great restaurants in our hotel area and walked us to the tube station for us to return to our hotel. I can’t recommend this tour more. It was a wonderful experience. Tom was simply the best tour guide who became a friend over the course of 3 hours. A great tour!

Michael was great. He was so knowledgeable and made the tour more than just about the best Christmas lights in London. He threw in some Ian Fleming facts which my son much appreciated and shared some interesting history that only a local would know. Thanks Michael for a great experience.
