Ananuri fortress complex
Overlooking the turquoise waters of the Zhinvali Reservoir, the Ananuri Fortress is one of Georgia's most iconic and well-preserved medieval monuments. Built between the 16th and 17th centuries, it served as the strategic seat of the Dukes of Aragvi, the powerful feudal lords who guarded the northern gates of the country.
Zhinvali Water Reservoir
The Zhinvali Reservoir is one of the most stunning sights on the Georgian Military Highway. Although it looks like a natural alpine lake, it is actually a man-made marvel created in the 1980s. Surrounded by the emerald-green peaks of the Alevi, Gudamakari, and Kartli ridges, its deep turquoise water creates a breathtaking contrast that changes shade depending on the sunlight.
Gudauri Viewpoint
Perched on the edge of a sheer cliff at an elevation of 2,384 meters, the Gudauri Panorama (also known as the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument) offers the most spectacular 360-degree views in the entire Caucasus range. This massive, semi-circular stone and concrete structure overlooks the dramatic "Devil’s Valley" and the winding Aragvi River far below.

Natalie's amazing guide, who was doing the tour for the first time, was very worried, but tried very hard. Excellent in English and Russian, of course, you need to tighten your knowledge and delve more into history, but for a start - very, very good! I would definitely go with her more than once. She's so kind and well-mannered and polite.
