Ananuri fortress complex
Overlooking the turquoise waters of the Zhinvali Reservoir, the Ananuri Fortress is one of Georgia's most iconic and well-preserved medieval monuments. Built between the 16th and 17th centuries, it served as the strategic seat of the Dukes of Aragvi, the powerful feudal lords who guarded the northern gates of the country.
Zhinvali Water Reservoir
The Zhinvali Reservoir is one of the most stunning sights on the Georgian Military Highway. Although it looks like a natural alpine lake, it is actually a man-made marvel created in the 1980s. Surrounded by the emerald-green peaks of the Alevi, Gudamakari, and Kartli ridges, its deep turquoise water creates a breathtaking contrast that changes shade depending on the sunlight.
Gudauri Viewpoint
Perched on the edge of a sheer cliff at an elevation of 2,384 meters, the Gudauri Panorama (also known as the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument) offers the most spectacular 360-degree views in the entire Caucasus range. This massive, semi-circular stone and concrete structure overlooks the dramatic "Devil’s Valley" and the winding Aragvi River far below.

5.00Natalie's amazing guide, who was doing the tour for the first time, was very worried, but tried very hard. Excellent in English and Russian, of course, you need to tighten your knowledge and delve more into history, but for a start - very, very good! I would definitely go with her more than once. She's so kind and well-mannered and polite.

5.00Everything was wonderful — thanks to our guide Nikolai and driver Spartak! The views are unreal, absolutely breathtaking. The mountains are truly majestic, and I highly recommend visiting and seeing them in person. The only fly in the ointment was a terrible roadside café called Gamokvabuli, where we had to stop for lunch. For the first time in Georgia, I came across food that was genuinely not tasty, with prices twice as high as in restaurants in Tbilisi. Before that, I honestly thought there was no such thing as bad food in Georgia. Overall, I definitely recommend the tour.

4.00great excursion! stunning mountain views! but reserve a completely free day until night for this excursion. Unfortunately, the traffic along the mountain pass is very unpredictable, you can stand in a traffic jam for a very long time
