Longji Rice Terraced fields are a Globally Important Agricultural Cultural Heritage. "Longji" gets its name because the mountain ridges look like the back of a dragon. Starting from Guilin! Let's explore the ethnic minority cultures and customs, experience the spectacular terraced fields, taste local cuisines, and enjoy the different beautiful sceneries of the terraced fields in four seasons. In spring, the terraced fields filled with water are like mirrors. In summer, they are green and full of vitality after rice seedlings are transplanted. In autumn, the rice is ripe become yellowing the rice fields. In winter, the terraced fields under the snow have softer and smoother lines, forming an elegant long ink-wash painting together with the mountains, bamboo forests and Villages

What To Expect

Longji Rice Terraces

We will pick you up at your hotel lobby in the city center of Guilin at 8:15am you will set off for Longsheng. You will travel up and down in the mountain area and reach the entrance of Longji rice Terraces Scenic Area around at 10:30am. First stop will be at the minority village - Huang Luo Yao Village visit about 30 minutes. After, we will take you to pingan rice terraces or Dazhai rice terraces , and you will enjoy about 2.5 hour short hiking tour in the afternoon. En-route you will appreciate the fascinating view of the rice terraces. The terraces are still used for growing premium quality rice by Yao and Zhuang villagers. The lunch time is flexible, it depends on your appetite. Afterword’s,The rice terraces sightseeing will be end at around 3pm. This concludes the tour for the day, we will take you back to your hote in Guilin at 6:00pm. ❤️❤️❤️Special note: booking This tour have 2 person or more

My driver was Charles which was a really bice person and driver, no complaints about that :). The tour itself is literally what you expect, no scams, you will be picked up from your lobby and you will be brought towards the rice field with a little stop in a village for a quick visit, and then to the actual destination the rice terraces. There you will be able to walk alone along the path which is extremely beautifull (i told my driver i was able to do it alone since i prefer it that way). How long you will stay it is up to you, i walk pretty fast ;). The scenery is gorgeous, and walking down to the parking area to meet your driver you will walk through the village which is nice if you are interested in it, if not it is just a nice walk. After my driver brought me to a restaurant in the same village where the food was nice, no complaints, and the view was, again, gorgeous. I went off season so there was few people, i suggest you to do the same. The rice was already harvested but being alone is way better than being in a crowd, definetly more "magical". Recommended

We had a great time with this tour. Charles picked us up right at the start time from our hotel and drove us to the rice terraces. We were fortunate to visit the rice terraces just a few days before the harvest, so the hills were a spectacular sea of gold, with layers and layers of rice fields. During the trip, he knew all the logistical tricks to avoid the biggest crowds and congested areas. He was also knowledgeable and passionate about his hometown, and gave us a lot of insight about the history and culture of the area. This tour was a wonderful experience!

This was the best tour we took in China! Charles reach out to us and pre arrange the itinerary to our preference. Then a few days prior to the tour, Charles reached out again to confirm. He’s very professional . He connects us to our tour guide, Jenny, who was pleasant, sweet, on time, and most importantly spoke very well English. She’s accommodate us to all of our needs and took really good care of my mom who needs a little help with the walk. Book this tour, you will not regret it and remember to ask for Jenny.

I took this trip with my husband, daughter is a friend. The day before I received an email that the trip is confirmed and that a driver is coming to pick us up from the hotel. The next morning Jackie had come to pick us up - very good tour guide, who took us to see the rice fields. Everything was organized very well in all details. He accompanied us everywhere and explained everything. In the end he took us to a restaurant for lunch which I highly recommend to go. Wonderful rice fields. Everything is perfect.

Rice fields are stunning, pick-up and transport was on time. Guide showed best spots, I can recommended since everything was according (maybe above) expectations
