Camilla our tour guide drove us through Ushuaia, giving interesting details about the city along the way. We spent most of the time in Tierra del Fuego National Park, where we enjoyed beautiful views of lakes, rivers and mountains. Camilla was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the region. She was most accomodating, stopping so that we could take pictures of the steam train and the very last mileage marker of the Pan American Highway. Best of all, she made us mate. It was very apropos to sip mate while enjoying Argentinian nature! All in all a most delightful day.

Camila our guide was incredible. Lovely and lively. Had a lot of interesting information to share. Was flexible with us. I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this tour. (And I’m a seasoned traveler easily bored…)

Gabby was knowledgeable and took the time to explain much about the area. We made several stops and she pointed out the sights and snapped photos of us.

March 2 Tierra del Fuego National Park private trip. Alexander led our party of four on a magical tour of the national park in Ushuaia. She shared her deep naturalist knowledge of the flora and fauna and history of the region, accompanied by visual aids while in the van. She is a natural teacher and completely fluent in English and Spanish and probably more languages. We highly recommend her.

Very professional attention, they quickly solved an issue with the park tickets. Highly recommended if you want to visit the national park at your own pace and see more than just the two main attractions. Excellent guide, great driver, it was just perfect. They even showed us the right way to drink mate!

4 hours is not long enough. The National Park is beautiful. Our guide showed us flora and fauna that we wouldn't have seen on a large tour or by ourselves. Both she and our driver were excellent, very knowledgeable and accommodating.

As with many of my reviews, I want to start by talking about the benefits of private tours over the large coach tours offered by cruise lines. A private tour offers flexibility, and can give you access to places inaccessible to a coach bus. They also offer a better learning opportunity with a guide who knows and loves their region, who can answer your questions, and who can give you information about the history, culture and fauna of the area. Our tour of Ushuaia and Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego with Gabriella from Exploring Ushuaia UVT provides a good example of this. She grew up in Ushuaia, and is a very fluent English speaker. Throughout our trip, she told us about the history of the region, which was originally settled as a penal colony. She was also able to tell us about the plants, birds and other animals we saw, as well as the geological features of Tierra del Fuego and "El Fin del Mundo" (The End of the World) as they call it. Gabriella started by taking us to the End of the World Train Station (Estacion Fin del Mundo). It was originally built by prisoners as a means to exploit the natural resources of the area, but it is now a tourist train. (We did not actually ride it. Another advantage of a private tour is the ability to avoid "tourist traps".) Next we continued on to the National Park at the southern terminus of the Pan American Highway, including the former site of the "Post Office at the End of the World", which is now closed. All along the way, Gabriella stopped to point out various birds and geologic features. With her local knowledge and English fluency, she was able to answer any and all questions we asked. After this, we returned to Ushuaia for a tour through the city and a couple more photo opportunities. If you are looking for a personalized and informative tour of Ushuaia and the Tierra del Fuego National Park, then you will not find a better guide than Gabriella and Exploring Ushuaia EVT.

We had a great experience, Bruno was an excellent guide, very professional & passionate about Ushuaia. After our 4 hr tour we felt we would need at least 2 days to see places of interest.

It was a wonderful experience. The views in the national park were stunning, a combination of sea, lake, mountains and forests. The park is well managed and clean. One suggestion is to bring enough local currency. The entry to the park cost about 40,000 peso per person, and they only take peso. Intenet connection is spotty so you are lucky if a credit card transaction goes through. Same with the stores in the park, so bring peso. Our guide Claudia was very knowledgeable. We truly enjoyed the visit.
