In the cool of the early morning, a procession of about three hundred young monks walks silently by, collecting sticky rice and other foods in their bronze bowls. The ritual is linked to a Buddhist tradition in which monks beg for their daily food to demonstrate humility. Giving alms an important religious act in Buddhism and it must be carried out respectfully by locals and tourists alike. After the ceremony, our driver will take care you back to your hotel to have breakfast then we head out to Waterfall.

5.00Mr Houmphanh and Pan his driver were a great team. He was always on time, very polite, knowledgeable, informative and answered our questions fully. We would fully recommend this guide to anyone. All the many places we visited were very interesting and he allowed us to spend as much time at each location as we wished. His English was excellent and he was very helpful supporting us up and down the steps when it was needed. He was also very patient. He had helped us fully enjoy our experience of Laos and we hope to get others to visit when we return home.
