The Kelpies & The Helix
The Kelpies: The largest equine sculptures in the world. Standing at 100ft tall and weighing more than 300 tonnes each, the magical Kelpies are a man-made wonder and a feat of engineering. The works of art, created by artist Andy Scott, have become iconic on the landscape after being modelled on real-life icons of times gone by — Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron. The Kelpies represent the lineage of the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy, pulling the wagons, ploughs, barges and coalships that shaped the geographical layout of Falkirk. The Kelpies’ name reflects the mythological transforming beasts that possess the strength and endurance of 100 horses.

Absolutely fun experience with Stuart. He is a master at his job. Was very knowledgeable, appropriately engaged, and modified the trip based on our needs/expectations. Our 2 boys (11 and 15) were excited all along, and absolutely loved the snacks and drinks that were stocked up in the comfy van.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Highlands tour with our driver guide, Blair. Among the places we visited were the Wallace Monument in Sterling, the Kelpies, Linlithgow Palace, Loch Lubnaig, Glencoe, and Loch Ness. At Loch Ness, Blair surprised us with a Scottish whiskey toast. The scenery along the way was beautiful. Blair is knowledgeable about history, geography, art, and architecture, which enriched our appreciation of everywhere we visited. We also talked about education, movies and books; our conversations flowed effortlessly. Blair's enthusiasm and pride in his country is contagious. I highly recommend Blair and Bonnie Scotland Tours.

This was an amazing tour. Stuart was our tour guide and I can’t say enough Great things about him. His wealth of knowledge for the history of Scotland, the stories and descriptions of the towns along the way, and his ease of connecting with us was the formula for a day we will remember always! Thank you!

Adam was a great guide who made our day wonderful. This was well worth the money for a full day with amazing history, stories and just overall information about the areas we toured. He made sure we got family photos and were able to hit the highlights of the highlands and enjoy delicious local snacks and a wonderful lunch on the go to make sure we had time to add the Loch Ness cruise. This is the perfect way to learn and explore in comfort and with no stress thanks to Adam!

Our day exploring the Scottish Highlands with Robbie was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. From the moment we set off, his knowledge, enthusiasm, and sense of humor made the experience both informative and incredibly enjoyable. Robbie crafted a fantastic itinerary that took us through breathtaking Highland scenery, charming villages, and some of Scotland’s most beloved castles. Along the way, he shared fascinating stories about Scottish history, culture, and local traditions, bringing each destination to life. What made the tour truly special was Robbie’s ability to balance must-see attractions with hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. His passion for Scotland is contagious, and his warm personality made us feel like we were traveling with a friend rather than a guide. The experience was so inspiring that I’ve now made it my mission to start watching Outlander to learn even more about the history and landscapes that make Scotland so magical. I highly recommend Robbie to anyone looking for an unforgettable Highlands adventure. This was a five-star experience from start to finish, and a memory we will cherish for years to come.

Great tour with an exceptional guide! Robbie was our tour guide and was the most personable, knowledgeable, and entertaining guide we have ever experienced. He showed us all of the best views of all the locations on the tour with multiple stops in the beautiful Glencoe valley. We had lunch in a lovely authentic 1ocal restaurant. Robbie even found us 2 groups of Highland Coo for petting and photo ops! Really enjoyed the stops at Linlithgow Palace and Doune Castle with Robbie's history lessons. After posing in front of the Loch Ness sign for photos, Robbie found us a secluded spot through a sheep pasture to enjoy the views of the loch. Best day trip we have ever experienced!!!

This was an outstanding experience from the booking with Noel to the actual tour with Donald, who wore is kilt all four days. You couldn’t ask for a more knowledgeable and personable guide to discover the Scottish countryside and traditions.

Adam is fantastic!! The company was also so responsive and helpful when trying to make arrangements for our large group and our 11 month old baby. I appreciated Adam’s flexibility; he laid out options of where we could go and how far things were and let the group decide on our plan. He was so knowledgeable and told us so many historical stories. He surprised us with a “dram” at one of the sightseeing stops on the road which made the moment even more memorable. He was so great with my son and he took beautiful pictures of all of us and sent them to me afterwards. Wonderful excursion, great ride and excellent tour guide. Highly recommend!!!

We wanted to see Edinburgh Scotland and the Scottish Highlands + Isle of Skye and only had 3 days set aside for the Scotland leg of our trip. Carol our trip manager and Donald our tour guide brought this to life and we had the absolute best experience. Granted it could have been 3 weeks there is so much to see! Scotland’s landscape is beautiful, unlike anywhere else, and if you like history there is so much to learn and explore. Donald shared history and lore as we enjoyed the country side going from stop to stop. Highly recommend. It’s more expensive than group style tours but worth it to be able to go at your pace and enjoy your people in this absolutely magical place. Can’t wait to come back!
