The Kelpies & The Helix
The Kelpies: The largest equine sculptures in the world. Standing at 100ft tall and weighing more than 300 tonnes each, the magical Kelpies are a man-made wonder and a feat of engineering. The works of art, created by artist Andy Scott, have become iconic on the landscape after being modelled on real-life icons of times gone by — Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron. The Kelpies represent the lineage of the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy, pulling the wagons, ploughs, barges and coalships that shaped the geographical layout of Falkirk. The Kelpies’ name reflects the mythological transforming beasts that possess the strength and endurance of 100 horses.

5.00We had a great time with Donald over 2 days including seeing Edinburgh highlights, Sterling, Bannockburn, Balmoral & Glamis. He was very punctual and ensured we saw everything on our itinerary. It was also great talking to him about British culture and politics from the Scottish perspective (we are from Essex). Thanks as well for all the photos including from great vista viewpoints. Booking process for this tour via Noel & Carol was also superb. We highly recommend their services!

5.00Our family had an absolutely incredible experience on this Highlands & Loch Ness tour easily one of the highlights of our entire trip. Robbie was outstanding. From the moment we started, he was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He didn’t just drive us around—he brought Scotland to life with stories, history, and humor that kept all of us (including the kids) fully entertained the entire day. What really stood out was how safe and comfortable he made us feel. You can tell he’s a true professional who genuinely cares about the experience of his guests. The day flew by, which says everything. Seeing the Highlands, Loch Ness, and iconic spots like Urquhart Castle was unforgettable—but it was the little moments that made it special. Watching our kids skip rocks on Loch Ness is something we’ll never forget. If you’re traveling as a family, especially with kids in that 8–18 range, this is a no-brainer. It’s engaging, fun, and incredibly well-paced. Bottom line: this experience is worth every penny. If you’re on the fence, book it. You won’t regret it. Thank you Robbie

5.00The tour company, Bonnie Scotland, was fabulous and contacted us a few days after our reservation to accommodate any requests we had. Robbie was our guide for the day and was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, funny, and loves what he is doing. He was so good at tailoring the tour to our desires and wise regarding how much time at each place. He provided wonderful Scottish treats for the day and this tour was the perfect ending to our time in Scotland.

5.00Robbie did a fabulous job and gave good guidance on the best way to use our time and we saw everything on our list, plus a few bonus things. Robbie shared so much about the history of Scotland and the Highlands area. We saw several larger tours while we were on our tour and for sure, a private tour was the way to go. All six of us highly recommend this tour.
