  This was an absolutely fantastic experience! Delicious food and a superb way to get oriented. It was the first thing we did in Lyon, and it is shaping everything we're doing on the rest of our stay. We had been up for 36 hours when we began the tour, and we still had a great time. Beyond that, it is the *opposite* of a tourist trap. Doing this tour with Nathalie set us up to make better decisions about where to go, when to go there, and what to do there. The food was delicious, plentiful and interesting... and Nathalie was still the best thing about the tour. She is broadly and deeply knowledgeable, has wonderful stories and insights to share, and put together a truly interesting and fun experience. She added interesting and entertaining characters to the experience. On top of that, she's she's just a kind, charming and helpful host who is more than a host. She was just a sincerely wonderful person to spend an evening with. Top marks! Thank you, Nathalie!

  The tour was very good. The hostess excellent. The food was very good too. But it was very hard to square the 145.00 euros per person we paid with what we got. Everything we experienced was in the old town, and sometimes felt a little too touristic and rushed. We were served a sweet praline syrup from the 70s mixed with red wine at the first stop. Not very authentic for the cote du Rhône. I am sure many wine makers would not approve The wines were all fine, but nothing special. We had modest tastes of sausages and cheeses which were very good, though I have had better) and then a very good fish croquette. No dessert. We were also given a sort of praline coffee cake from the “most famous bakery” known for this in the old town tourist district. The host said that usually there is a line outside for blocks. It was just hard to tell if that was the result of tourist internet/ hype or because it true. The pastry was good…. But 145 euros good? 300 for two people. It was the most expensive meal we had in Europe, and we had some stunning meals with stunning wine—all far better. I guess for that price I expected something more special than touristic. Live and learn.

  We enjoyed a wonderful tour of Lyon! Nathalie was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable about the area, the history and of course the food! She had many great recommendations for us that we used over the next few days to make our time in Lyon even more special. Thank you Nathalie!

  Nathalie gave an excellent tour of a typical evening meal in Lyon. She was very animated with stories about origins of certain foods. She incorporated the rich history of the region. She was interesting, engaging, and knowledgeable. Her love for the city is evident.
