  Rumi my guide was outstanding! His knowledge as a native of the area is very interesting. Rumi is a very nice person who explains every piece of this important area.   We did the tour with the Cusco Native and we only have compliments. The company demonstrates professionalism from beginning to end, with organization, punctuality and respect for the traveler — qualities that make all the difference in such a special and historic place as Machu Picchu. A highlight to the side goes to the guide Rumi, extremely patient, kind and attentive. He did not limit himself to the basics: he explained calmly, answered all questions and led the group very carefully, always valuing the history, culture and significance of that millennial site. In addition, he had the sensitivity to record our experience in photos, using his own phone, always choosing the best angles and views. In the end, he sent us all the images as a courtesy, a gesture that demonstrates true zeal and dedication to the work. It was a tour done in the right way, with respect to the tradition, the place and the visitor. We recommend Cusco Native without any reservation and, if possible, take the tour with the guide Rumi. An experience that honors the greatness of Machu Picchu and will forever remain in memory.

  I booked a quite last minute (solo trip) set of tours with this company.. And let me tell you, with such short time of preparation and communication, Cuzco Native Tours is doing an amazing job. If I could give 6 stars I would! I did Macchu Picchu (didn’t have my ticket booked online in advanced). But they arranged transportations and accommodations and even pick ups and escort for me to be able to arrive in Aguas Calientes and get my MP ticket offline in town. First I didn’t know what to expect but they gave me all the best facilities with such affordable cost. And they gave me the best MP guide, his name is Rumi. I love Rumi! He is a spiritual person and I could talk a lot about deep things like the Universe, the Sun, Past Life, and everything. Rumi for President! And their Costumer Service, the best best best. They always chat me to make sure I’m alright and having the best time. They give recommendations of restaurants, and shops, spas.. Whatever I ask, they give.   This company was definitely the best option for the Machu Picchu tour, no doubt about it! Angeles (Travel Designer) was very communicative and professional from day one. She arranged everything, including the hotel pick-up and drop-off in Cusco, the contact person in Cusco (Mr. Relato/Renato?), and the tour guide at Machu Picchu (Mr. Alcides) all of whom were simply the best. Every single detail was well organized, and she didn’t miss a thing: hotel pick-ups/drop-offs by taxi, transportation by bus and train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes and back. I truly believe this is a top choice for tourists, and I would definitely recommend this company!

  We did five Cusco Native Tours on our 9 day trip to Cusco recently and had the best vacation experience of my life! I'm so glad we went with Cusco Native. Four of the five tours had no other tourists but ourselves with our excellent guides. Both of our tour guides provided unique insights on our tours, had great personalities, and tried to find quiet spots away from the crowds so that we could enjoy our tours better. They made us feel special. Javier was our awesome tour guide on four of the tours and treated us just like family. You would be wise to request him and tell him that Mr. Brown sent you. Rumi was our fabulous tour guide for Machu Picchu. You should request Rumi for this tour. Getting to Machu Picchu from Cusco is rather daunting and Cusco Native made is easy and comforting. If I had put any of the tours together myself I would have been stressed out the entire day hoping that everything went well. For your information, the tours that we did that involved hiking at high elevations were the most rewarding. Once we understood that there was no hurry to get to the destination we were able to relax, take our time, and enjoy the hike. Drinking coca tea and chewing coca leaves helped a lot too, so make sure to do that. The food options provided during the tour were of the highest quality and I honestly wish I ate that well back home in the US. The Sacred Valley tour included a visit to a textile making demonstration that was very memorable and also a visit to a traditional Inca house in Ollantaytambo that had about 149 guinea pigs eagerly awaiting our arrival! Don't miss this tour! The day after we went to Machu Picchu we did the Waqrapukara tour and I was blown away by this ancient site and found it to be more spectacular than Machu Picchu. Two condors lead the way on our hike and we were happily surprised that we saw NO OTHER TOURISTS during our entire time in Waqrapukara. Don't miss this tour either. Thank you very much to Cusco Native Tours and our guides Javier and Rumi; we will always remember you and our wonderful trip to beautiful Cusco, Peru. :)

• Cisco to Machu Picchu and Back

  Truthfully, I can’t think of one thing that could have been improved upon. All the connections were timed perfectly and we made it back to Cuzco early like we requested. We had a tour guide to ourselves, which made our time in Machu Picchu that much more special. He recommended a restaurant in Aguas Calientes that is highly rated (I checked on Trip Advisor) and also arranged for someone to meet us at the train station once we got back into town.
