You'll visit Câmara de Lobos– colourful fishing town, you'll stand atop the glass– floored Cabo Girão Skywalk, walk along the black sand beach of Seixal, and have a lunch by the natural pools of Porto Moniz. We'll also visit a few hidden places to make the experience even more special.
The tour lasts between 6,5 to 8 hours. We don't watch the clock, we follow the magic, we go at your pace.

What To Expect
Funchal
Pick-up time is between 09:30 and 10:00. The exact time will be confirmed the day before your tour.
The Camara de Lobos promenade
Our first stop is the quaint fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, where the colourful boats and lively atmosphere give you a taste of traditional Madeiran life. It’s the perfect spot to start our adventure and snap some picturesque photos.

5.00We had an absolutely fantastic day on the Electric Car Madeira West Tour! From start to finish it was an unforgettable and great experience. Our guide Roberto was just great – incredibly competent, personable and with a real passion for Madeira. He has shared so many exciting stories, inside information and background knowledge with us that we would never have discovered on our own. It felt like exploring the island with a friend who really loves his homeland. The west of Madeira is breathtakingly beautiful, and discovering it with an electric car made the experience even more special and sustainable. Everything was relaxed, well organized and perfectly coordinated. We can absolutely recommend Roberto’s tour to any Madeira visitor – it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

5.00Amazing scenery and sights along the coast of Madeira, highlight is Porto Moniz and the viewing platform at Cabo Girão. Roberto is a really knowledgeable guide and made our trip so interesting. He couldn’t have done more. We were so glad we picked this trip over the traditional Jeep tour. Great views from the van and no possibility of being stuck in a rear seat facing inwards!

5.00My partner and I had an amazing time going west with Roberto from Madeira Electric Tours. We visited some lovely spots around the island, and never felt rushed at any point. Roberto’s knowledge of the local flora and fauna was excellent and his passion for the island and its culture really came through. We cannot wait to travel back to Madeira and book another tour!
We did the West side of the island. Relaxed, interesting. Lots of stops. A great day.

5.00So lucky to have had a sunny day in January during this trip. Roberto, our guide was a ray of sunshine as his knowledge of Madeira islands as well as its fruit bearing trees/plants was top notch. His enthusiasm was so exhilarating as you could see that he enjoyed the trip as much as we did. Don’t book your trip with anyone else as he is the best

5.00My aunt and I had a fantastic private tour of the West side of Maderia and our amazing guide Roberto certainly did not disappoint! From start to finish the day was packed with everything you could possibly wish to know about the island, with Roberto's knowledge being extremely extensive. Roberto's attention to detail is impeccable, prompt collection from where we were staying in an immaculate Mercedes electric people carrier. Roberto couldn't do enough for us, he drove us to various spots on the west coast including various fantastic viewpoints, little villages and waterfalls. The time he allowed for each stop was perfect and we didn't feel rushed and completely at ease. Roberto has a wonderful sense of humour and had us giggling all day, he has a clear and charming voice and speaks many languages, it is very apparent he has spent a long time educating himself not only of the amazing flora and forna of Maderia but the various cultures of his guests, making him so relatable. One of our last stops was a real, authentic 'Poncha' taverna on the sea front, where the wonderful owners welcomed us and we sampled some beautiful wines and ponchas. This was a truly magical, unforgettable day and the highlight of our holiday. Thank you so much Maderia Electric Tours, we highly recommend you and we cannot wait to return to do the east side of the Island with you next time!

5.00This was one of the highlights of our Madeira trip. Roberto met us right in Funchal and took us on a beautifully paced journey along the west side of the island. What really sets this tour apart is the small group size and the electric van—comfortable, quiet, and a huge upgrade from being herded around in a 6–20 person bus. It made the entire day feel relaxed and personal rather than rushed or touristy. Roberto was fantastic. He didn’t just drive us from point A to point B—he gave meaningful background on each location, shared local context, and helped us actually connect with what we were seeing. You can tell he cares about Madeira and enjoys sharing it. The timing at each stop felt just right, and the overall flow of the day was smooth and unhurried. If you want to see some of Madeira’s most stunning west-side scenery in a thoughtful, comfortable way—with a guide who enhances the experience instead of just narrating it—this tour is a great choice. Highly recommended.

He succeeded in inspiring us for Madeira and transferring his connection to nature to us. The super modern Mercedes bus made the day trip comfortable. 5.00We had a fantastic tour with Robbie exploring the west side of the island. There were just two of us on the tour which allowed Robbie to make changes to the itinerary to suit our needs. The electric vehicle was super comfortable and superbly driven as we were shown hidden gems across the island. The best part though was Robbie himself who was a superb host with vast knowledge of the island that he shared with great enthusiasm. Overall an excellent tour. Would highly recommend.

5.00We had an absolutely fantastic day with Robbie, full of fascinating facts, incredible views, great food and lots and lots of laughter. There were just two of us on the tour, but with a maximum of 7 guests, it would never feel rushed, crowded, or impersonal. Robbie was a sheer joy to spend the day with. he knows so much about the island, and gave us lots tips for enjoying our stay. I wasn't expecting the electric vehicle to make so much difference, but it really did - we glided silently around the roads which meant that there was no need to shout over the engine noise, and no diesel fumes. It was a true luxury experience. We had plenty of opportunity to tailor the day, and Robbie was keen to find out what sort of things we would enjoy doing to he could give us the best possible experience. It was the highlight of our trip, and I would definitely book with Madeira Electric Tours again. Thank you Robbie.
